Reach is fine as a squad player. If anything he'd have been a better bet to start on the left at Middlesbrough and double up on Jones with Townsend than Phillips.

That said Bruce should never have tried to utilise him the way he did last season. Reach is an honest pro who puts a shift in, but a Pereira he is not.

Think I have seen this shift once! HRK put a shift in but was out of his depth.

All pros should be honest on 20 plus grand a week for f uck sake! Even Sheffield W supporters laughed at Reach coming to us as he was not good enough in league 1

There’s always the Baggie Bird costume for him though although he might have to fight Livermore for it. Both would do a sterling job!

Foster is gone as is one or two at the back but their forward two are a handful and were last year in Prem......
I don't think their defense has changed much and was pretty weak last season but will most likely be an improvement in this league.
So far in the transfer window they have kept their strikers but may not last by end of window.
Both teams seem to be going for a good attacking line....and a hope and a prayer at the back.....it would seem...

Better than Furlong or Townsend that’s for sure! Their three forwards will get them promoted! It’s called scoring goals - bit like Mitrovic last year!

Agree about the Watford forward line will be a real test for our defenders especially as our midfield is somewhat pedestrian. I can see them running through us will pace and power. Boro managed to pass through us with ease – imagine the same but with more pace!
Watford have for years now emphasised recruiting big athletic pacy forwards.
We all know how poor both full backs are, and we can’t expect much cover from Philips or Diangna ether. TGH would at least equal the energy levels of the opposition.
I know Reach gets criticism but honestly what has happened to Townsend this last Year of so ? Furlong, has always been very unreliable in my view. Was only a regular because of his long throw which only wasted time in the end.
Think most of us agree a new right back is the urgency, then a new left back. That way we can hope to get at least a draw ever game. If we want to compete for promotion then another forward.

I'll refrain from over using full stops. But so many posting here have never heard of paragraphs.
Anyway enjoy the rest of school term....you most likely won't have a school to return or possibly have no teacher if you do have a school....
