Why? Technically none are his and the only one after he joined that he suggested was Baldwin, sounded like the others were being monitored long before they were signed. If TARs not at it mentally, physically or technically then he has to show LW what he’s about. I doubt the recruitment team/owners have an issue if it’s a valid reason why he’s not being picked and tbf he didn’t have a great pre season.

    Wow! Simply wow!

As for TAR, if he works hard in training and impresses then he will get his opportunity to play for the first team. That should be the case for the players that aren't starting games.

Spot on. I've made some criticisms and asked a few questions, as I might of any head coach or manager after a poor performance, but that's normal for any football message board or fan forum, especially during or in the immediate aftermath of a game. It doesn't mean you're calling for his head after three games, which would be a bit ridiculous given that we're unbeaten. If LW picks the right team and we put in a good performance and win against Chesterfield on Saturday, some of the criticisms from Tuesday night fade away and we can reasonably claim to have had a good start.

I hope you have included me in the minority.

3 games into the season ..... unbeaten.

Yes I know it is points dropped, but as for sweeping comments this has to be right up there!

What do we do? Get behind him and show him a bit more respect.

Bob I hope you are still using the same crystal ball that saw you predict us missing out on the playoffs in past seasons.

The lack of information was around Tobi Adebayo-Rowling's absence, but LW has addressed that very directly in today's press conference: he hasn't chosen to select him yet because Tobi needs to work on a couple of things, but he's responding really well and will get opportunities in due course. That's fair enough.[/QUOTE]

Would be interesting to know what issues Tobi needs to work on, considering we had to play a blatantly left sided player in the right wing-back position for our first two league matches!
That aside, I wish him well and hope he is competing for a first team place in due course. We need competition for the two wing-back positions.

Good question. One that the reporter should've followed up with perhaps (it isn't scripted, is it? )
The vlogs then brushed this aside 'oh yes, tweaks'.
It's not physical (fitness) or he would have said, and it isn't attitude, so that leaves technical and tactical.

Not covering enough ground, not getting back (or forward quickly/often enough)?
Wrong positioning and choices with the ball in the patterns of play?
    Poor delivery on final ball?
Not covering/marking correctly in the defensive scheme?

Wild stabs in the dark are all we're left with. Let's hope TAR reacts positively to this and wants to show LW, his team mates, and the fans that it's worry over nothing and that he's the best wing-back at the club (not the most difficult title to take).

I can see this being the year we finally realise that we're in this division for the foreseeable. Maybe in and around the P/O's most years, but failing consistently to make a convincing fist of getting out. In truth, and this won't be a popular thought, I think Forest have more chance of staying in the Prem, and Mansfield have a far better chance of L1 footy than we do of exiting this chit-hole of a League this season. Forts?

Having you given up on your 5th placed fish prediction already Gumpy?

As for that possible scenario all are distinct possibilities. The Red D*gs are certainly throwing the kitchen sink (and laundry money) at staying up. Although it's 50:50 at best for me at present.

As you are probably already know Mansfailed were one of the favourites for promotion before a ball was kicked, unsurprising after reaching last season's playoff final.

They've done their traditional slow start to a season which is no surprise but Clough Junior has it in him to get on a real roll and could easily finish in the far more generous top 3.

As for us, Top 7 with a post season lottery .... again
