It's a distraction game for us, treat it as a friendly and move on is what I think the lads have done here.

I’m not bothered that we lost either. What bothers me is the manner in which we lost. No shots on target against a league 1 side. It doesn’t bode well for the rest of the season.

So they weren't trying too hard?

McCart & Kelly only 2 from players not getting a start who looked good enough to start. Add Vickers to that but we already know that. Lindsay Norton-Cuffy High Bramall Eaves disappointing though Norton-Cuffy Eaves judge them when they are up to speed.

Stop kidding yourselves that we're not bothered we lost and we move on. What's the point of being in it if that's our attitude?

Win tonight and draw Spurs, Liverpool, Man City even Leeds at home and everyone would want a ticket.

It was a woeful display and now we can see why some fringe players don't get a start.

Can't wait to hear gru's defence of Vickers attempt to save a grass roller of a shot!

We now have no choice in that we have to move on as we are out and as the stats say, not one shot on target all night! Morecambe have one shot and score, I think that in itself tells its own story. Bet the Chairman ain't happy at not progressing and I wouldn't blame him.

On to Saturday and at least we'll hopefully see the real Millers first team and a much improved performance.

Well done to Morecambe, they did to us what we've been doing already this season. No complaints about them winning, they shoot on sight and score. Hope they get a mega bucks draw to help boost their coffers and not a low division team.

However I agree, Championship survival is the main aim
Losing tonight cost money coming into the coffers

Bramall disappointing? Did you have welding goggles on man?

Vickers yeh your favourite keeper, one shot to save and can't manage that albeit he is a decent keeper and let himself down tonight with that attempted save from distance.

You're right about McCart, class, calm, composed player, Woody watch out! Eaves has been out weeks at least allow him to get match fit.

Kelly? Jury is still out for me. Norton- Cuffy, blowing after 50 mins but again another player not yet seen enough game time. As for High, a busy player but neither a Basil or a Wiles so has a lot to displace either of those two.

Just got back, and I'm gutted. We aren't a big enough club to treat the League cup with distain. Eight changes, some of them not anywhere near match fit.
One shot on target, from an inswinging corner. I love PW, but he got it wrong tonight.
Congratulations Morecambe, hope you get a biggie in the next round

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but some of us need to chill . If the manager was that fussed bout winning he would have put out the first team but no he rested most of them for the more important game on sat . Staying in the championship is worth far more than one potential game against a top premier team. It was a run out for the players who haven’t been playing, accept the game for what it was .
