That's not great either but at least it reduces pressure that is self inflicted, gives you a chance to push up, catch forwards offside.
I mean what the fcuk was Slocombe doing running to the side of the box for a goal kick & one of the defenders taking it to him?

    That's right.

I can't understand why there is such opposition about playing it out from the back. It's not as if we are giving goals away every game through it. Last season the stats show that we entered the opposition box more than any other team. It's a straight fact. Some stats can be twisted, but that one can't. Whether we then played it right is a different thing. But now we seem to have sorted that with the way Langstaff plays and there are brighter days ahead.

We do need to mix it up a bit more, but playing it out should be what we are doing most of the time.

I agree, we need to mix it up otherwise it’s all too predictable. I’m not against playing out from the back but it does worry me when Sam takes the ball way out of his penalty area. Why can’t the centre back do that? It does make me wonder whether we should have a substitute keeper on the bench as the risk of the keeper getting sent off increases with that approach.
Other than that, I’m quite happy, particularly as our new Head Coach is more flexible and will change things if it’s not working.
