Largest ever wage bill in the championship next season would be where I would put my money if I were a betting man ( which I am not).

I’m sure that once again, they will meet all FFP requirements…
… like the owner meets all the requirements of a Fit and Proper Owner.
All above board… nothing to see here.
76% possession for Citeh. Goodness.
I only saw the second half, but it was hilariously one-sided - and City didn’t even field their strongest starting XI. But Forest’s season will be determined by what they do against the Bournemouths, Fulhams and Aston Villas than any of the top six, where anything other than a hiding is a bonus.
When Chelsea are spending £70 million on a 21-year-old defender and Newcastle £60 million on a 22-year-old forward, £130 million isn’t quite such a big figure for a squad. Forest will be lucky if 6-0 is their biggest defeat of the season.
I think we’re deluded if we somehow feel there’s something to laugh at with Forest.
They’re back on the world stage, the atmosphere at the CG is incredible and the majority of fans are just enjoying the ride. No team outside the top 5 has much of a say on how many goals City score, especially now they have the best finisher on the planet.
They’ve spent £130m but that’s because they got promoted with an average championship side and lost the better players. They could barely field a team, never mind one that could compete at the top level. Fulham and Bournemouth had already assembled a team ready for the PL.
Definitely. It seemed like they were buying a new player every day over the summer. All for multiple millions. Many of whom had never played in England before. That almost never works out.
Oh well. Whether they stay up or not will come down to whether they can beat teams like Bournemouth at home, not City away.
