Actually Brin it should have been finished July/August last year. It’s more than a year overdue. It’s been delayed at least twice to my knowledge.

Rotherham council can do what they want because they know the good folk of Rotherham will keep voting then in . 1600 young girls raped and ***ually abused and they still get voted back in .

Ooor, that might not be the reason and someone is just being rubbish!
Agree. The price of building material has gone mental.
Example 12 month ago wickes sold 3x4x 9.5mm plasterboards for £5.80 if you bought 5 or more. Today they are £11.20 each.
Most other things are the same except paint. That is cheaper today than it was 12 month ago

The price will have gone up before they start because it takes that long to actually have a start date.

Without wanting to drift too far off topic, out of interest how much is paint over there? I just paid $190 for 5 (US) gallons here, I think that's equivalent to about 165 pounds for 19 litres.

Depends what your after. Bog STD emulsion (crown, wickes own) is as cheap as chips (£2 a ltr). Dulux is about £4 per ltr. I bough some specialist cellar paint at £24 per ltr. I've worked in schools who use fire retardant/mold protection paint at about £7 per ltr

When I worked in MOD Woolwich the lab next to mine tested paints.

Suppliers wanting to contract to the MOD sent in sample tins for testing. The tests involved used up about one tenth of the contents the remainder was resealed and placed inside a walk in skip until there was enough to take away for disposal.

In all of the time I was there I never saw the skip collected as the “ fairies” seemed to spirit it away

There’s a lot of battleship grey garage doors in Plumstead and Woolwich

Painting a deck (about 1000 sq ft) so exterior grade emulsion with primer incorporated (don't know how they do that?). Also just re-sealed the driveway with around 36 gallons of, actually not sure what it is but it's black, smells like tar and takes a couple of days to cure. Much cheaper than paint though at around $160 for 36 gallons.

Generally paint here is around $40/gallon in the DIY stores and up to double that in the specialist paint suppliers. One I have used is shown in the picture below, might have got a good deal off them Brin for your Millmoor exploits

*******s, I give up on trying to get it to show the right way. You'll have to stand on your head!
