Don’t we always do this? I’m sure this happened a few years back and the club said it was just a temporary loan until the parachute payments were made in April.

The danger with this type of loan is if they are allowed to seek payment through an equity for debt swap.
If that is wrote into the loan agreement, then it could indeed spell trouble a head..
10% interest payment is close to third world finance and would be a big burden for a club whose finance projections going forward, isn't very bright.

This is a scandal, asset stripping in open site.......it’s like knowing what we know now and letting Jimmy Saville wander around a hospital full of juvenile cripples!

The EFL will do their usual hand wringing and “we need to be better in future” when this all goes horribly wrong instead of stepping in now.

I hope Lai has an incredibly short life span

    Disgusting excuse of a foetus.

Isn't it imperative then that Sandwell Council hurries up with making the Hawhorns into an 'asset to the community'. Won't this stop Lai from being able to sell it off to recoup his money. Lai is obviously in financial trouble with what is now going on.

Don’t understand how we have lost £23m o er past two seasons given Prem parachute payments and limited transfers in. Also a loan of £25m for new players. .... you’re kidding .... I bet only a fraction will go on new players ... the rest going into Lai’s back pocket And what about these f****g loans which should be repaid any time soon. This smells like asset stripping ......
