Chris Wood has played two matches for Newcastle at Southampton in the past 8 months, spent 135 minutes on the pitch and scored 2 goals in two wins.
I'll bet he is enjoying life at the Toon, after all, the club that he is playing for are winning games and he has 7 win bonuses, 6 draws and only one defeat.
He will probably say that he really is in his comfort zone ---I would be!

    Targett £15k
    Pope £10k
    Botman £32k

Players who Pep and Klopp wouldn't look twice at, and one big buy this summer, Isak for £63k from Real Sociedad, who played the first 3 games and has been out injured ever since. Financial backing from Saudi Arabia he may have, but one thing is for certain, he hasn't bought his way into the top 3, he most certainly hasn't used the Saudi's financial muscle to get Newcastle where they are.
Hello sinkov. I think you mean Wood £25m etc. UTC

Indeed Warmy, I suppose I could say the 'm' is next to the 'k' on the keyboard, and I do have stubby fingers, but you wouldn't buy that would you ?

All this talk about Eddie et al and it is even worse up here, believe me.

I just ask them "What have you won?" It would appear that the answer is that, since 1927 in the league, they have won less than the Clarets, although they do like to talk about winning the FA Cup three times in the 1950s and the Inter Cities Fairs Cup in 1969.

Never mind, it keeps them all happy to have hope that they could be invited to join the European Super League when it happens.

They are pretty impressive though Supersub6, I thought Trippier was out of this world yesterday.

Certainly won't argue against that, however, we all know that Trippier is a class act (shame that Gareth doesn't appreciate that). Pope is a smashing keeper and that Eddie has got the best out of Almiron, who has always given 100% since he signed but has never had that bit of luck that he is having at present. Add to that mix Bruno and Burn and he has made improvements in the areas which were needed.

They still haven't won anything though.

Aye, but will he play for England mon ami, I doubt it, and did you see that laughable header from Dier which gifted Salah a goal, but he'll still be ahead of Tarko in Gareth's pecking order.

Difficult one for me. Whilst I wish all with a Burnley connection well, I do not support the regime in Saudi Arabia.

Certainly, the fans deserved better than Ashley (as we deserved better than Garlick) but, as the saying goes, “if you want to sup with the devil, best use a long spoon”.
