I think we need a midfield dynamo type - as a back up for Mulumby. Was clearly missed against Coventry as we had no energy and bite in midfield - can’t play Rogic and Swift in same team. Maybe another fullback and centre back.

£15m for Grant was daylight robbery …. Desperation at end of Prem League transfer window. Never seen a player with less heart and commitment as Grant. Diangana for £14m is not far behind … but at least has potential and shows glimpses. Zohore was another criminal waste of £8m. All Bilic’s buys if memory serves.

Reach and Livermore could pack their bags tomorrow and we would be none the poorer.

Certainly agree with a lot of what everyone has said and all indications are that Corberan is keen to sell and recruit better. Our problem is going to be - aside from managing to get buyers for the likes of Zahore or Livermore-whether or not the money is going to be made available. Lots of stuff in the press about our financial situation at the moment and given the likely high interest rates for any loans any purchases need to be very astute ones that enable us to push for Premier league promotion and it's money.

If we do happen to get interest for Reach, Livermore, Zohore et al......then we will be limited in squad and that's not good if going for promotion.
As Bomber says...cards and injuries will have a big part to play in this intense second half of season.

That said, I do think our disciplinary record has improved under CC.
Any verification on that by anyone?
So we do need new signings.

Problem will be offloading the dross when they are stuck on high wages. We could offload them for free but no club is going to pay the weekly wages we do for:

Zohore £26k (thank god his contract expires next summer)
Reach £23k (contract expires summer 2024 - still 1.5 years left)
Grant £20k (contract expires summer 2026 - still 3.5 years left!)
Livermore £16k (contract expires next summer)

Only a complete f uckin moron would have agreed those contracts. Reach not worth 2300 a week and Grant is another Zohore - not interested and no heart!

Not interested Livermore was a good servant as he should have been dumped the year we were promoted. Big Sam sussed him out! I could run faster than him!

There's a lot in what you say in that list, I would disagree over Furlong who I thought did prove his prem quality, he showed that he was really up for it, but then it does depend on how you play him, he's definitely a wing back with a strong emphasis on pushing forward. (Townsend did well too but has fallen off of late) I also think Ajayi has a lot of quality in the tank. I think Pieters is class but maybe on the down slope of his career so I would agree there. TGH still has a lot to prove for me. Plenty of heart but not much brains sometimes.

To be fair - Furlong has massively improved under CC but Townsend for me is the weak link. Agree on TGH and to a degree you have either got it or you haven’t!! Look at Asante - very quick feet and you can tell when he’s polished he will be a great player. Would have Asante every time over Grant who has more heart and desire in his one toe than Grant has in his body

I wonder if we’ll finally land Carlton Cole in this transfer window?

We must bring in reinforcement ASAP as imo this squad will not be able to keep up the physical demands of football under King Carlos.
