I find it hard to understand that people were raving about Arter's first few games for us, but Bostock is coming in for so much flak. They are like chalk and cheese to me in the affect they have or had on games. Arter did nothing but decline in his appearances for us, while I can see Bostock becoming more and more of an influence on games, not that he hasn't already. He certainly helped us control the game after he replaced Ruben.

For me, Bostock is a replacement if Matty gets injured. Like I've said before, not convinced yet. Might be a little harsh, but that's how I see it.
Correct. JOB showed today what a midfield partner for Palmer should be doing (or the 3rd man to join Matty and Ruben)....
It's very important to get into those advanced positions like he did for his goal - it tips the balance of the side from being defensive to one that wants to hurts the opposition.

Think the marking pretty accurate. Slocombe still had a couple of dodgy moments, not confident with him at all, good shot stopper but doesn't command his box. Think you could have 2 maybe 3 MoM. No one stood out as such but some put in a good shift. Palmer always available & looking for the ball. Nemane was a threat 1st half but barely seen 2nd half bar the goal. JOB another job done. Excuse the pun. I hope the owners are thinking to the future for JOB to keep him here on the books coaching.
Good that the goals came from midfielders & wingback to show that like yesterday when Langstaff didn't really get a whiff we have others to do the job

I was there and saw it very similar to TSHANO, very good match summary.

My MOTM was Nemane , just pipping my man Rubes, those two combined so well in the first half. They couldn't handle us.

Worst performer was again Chicksen. Similar to the Oldham home game, just a bit of an 'off day' from the high standards he's set this season.

Also great point by KTD definitely more confidence in the players than the supporters with our passing at the back.

Thought Brins was excellent yesterday too. What shouldn’t be underestimated about him is the amount of times he’s under pressure but doesn’t boot it out, we then retain possession instead of being put under pressure. It’s the same for all the defenders, that’s why I don’t think we’ll sign a big physical defender.

Interesting to hear LW say JOB changed his position 2 or 3 times in the 1st half & our formation. Got to say I didn't notice it nor the commentators

It is good, as you remark, irishpete, that we have potential goalscorers elsewhere but on the forward line. While enemy managers will have his defenders hovering around Macca and Scott, we have others elsewhere regularly popping up with the goods.

Is it possible to have a big physical defender who can also play it around?

I feel we have a good mix now with the back 3.

Personally I'd play Bajrami over Brindley as he's physically bigger and stronger but I understand why LW selects Brindley.
