Think you’ve missed the crucial part here pal. To be paid more in line to help with inflation, may or even would entice more people to join the medical profession which covers an array of positions.
Doctors, nurses, heath care assistants, domestics, ambulance/ paramedics, I could go on as the list is very lengthy. There are currently more than 160,000 vacant positions within the NHS and it’s growing.
Imagine if half of those positions were filled. It would mean a more balanced workforce, more patients seen more quickly, backlogs reduced but more importantly, morale restored to what is now a very depleted workforce. That is what all this striking is about not just the money.
I witnessed first hand last week when my poor old Mum, 87 years of age, entered hospital in A&E at 6.30pm and was finally seen and sent home at 2.45am the next day! as there was no bed space for her to stay and be treated.
There are little or no Doctors or staff to treat everyone as like you say, the pay is better in Aldi’s and that surely cannot be right!
Apologies everyone for going off thread but I had to reply to this post to paint the larger issue.

Everton Directors told not to attend their game today due to 'real and credible threat to safety and security'. Fan violence or simply upset fans?
Exit strategy a joke again today. Blackburn fans broke through the fence for skirmishes, stewards hopeless and then nothing further up where the fans meet.
Yes what a joke! They put the fences up, then make us walk into the car park not to exit via Don Street but to walk 20 yards then back out of the car park to the left only to walk straight into the Blackburn fans again.
Just who is responsible for the exit strategies? I’m glad they don’t plan any defending in a war they’d lose hands down on the first day… in a word pathetic!
Gone are the days of holding away fans back. They do it at other grounds so why not ours? Also why was the path built to the left of New York Way from the away end, only to finish under Main Street next to the Police Station? Ideally if all away fans were sent down this way, direct to the station, then any chance of any trouble would be eradicated.

Spare a thought for these people - need some distraction from the constant grind of having to pull a dangerous dog off another family member
Totally agree with holding the fans back for 5 mins under H&S. Brin, i think the the land at the other end of the path is the problem as yo go under the road. Sure i read somewhere that the problem is down to the owner of the land. The plan to use that as an exit was discussed when they were building the stadium years ago.
