Ditto the Hospice. Mrs Jocks spent a month there, and it's truly a magnificent place.
I donate to my local food bank and the local(Bury) Hospice. I also donate time (I'm Chair of the Board) to a 5 a side charity in Sale.
Mainly cancer ones but I do give to local charities to and grassroots football
The few Christmas cards we send are always from charities
Crash, ironically I also donate to the RNLI mainly because the brave people who man these crafts do it for free and it can also be life threatening to them.
I also donate to the NSPCC, Rotherham Hospice and the Childrens air ambulance. If there are any other charitable collections whilst out shopping, I will give to these if I have any spare pound coins on me.
Some people say begging should be frowned upon and those doing it moved on or arrested but, there are also genuine hardship cases out there. There’s a young man who is often sat outside the shops at Parkgate. I sometimes buy him a sandwich or a bar of chocolate which he is very appreciate of.
I believe in giving to those worthy of a donation and definitely to those less fortunate than myself. The world is far too greedy and as human beings, we don’t want or need everything
In life. Give a little, it will make you feel much better as a fellow human being.
If you can do a good deed for someone then you should.
