Players should perform every game Boingy or at least give 100% so you can say we were defeated by the better side. Birmingham and Hull and very very poor sides. Even the Hull fans were singing last night - you must be s hit if you can’t beat us at home!! No creativity - no zip - no energy and no quality! Those Hull players had no quality but that black forward did far more than Dike would ever do - challenging/running which should be the basics.

I left on the 80th minute as did other fans as we were that poor. Sideways/backwards football!!

Unless we have a 20 plus goal scorer we would never get promoted.

To be fair - Carlos has done a great job with bang average players and it’s starting to show now.

Don’t mind losing but it’s the manner in us losing which hurts!

We don’t have a great squad, on their day they can be excellent, capable of raising their game against good opposition but also not quite good enough to avoid being dragged down to the level of a poor side. A mid to top half Championship team is what we are. We all know that lacking a consistent goal scorer is a major handicap, Dike may well be a nice bloke but he is no footballer, American Football maybe but not in soccer. Our current centre back partnership of O’Shea and Peiters has done quite well really but Peiters is really a full back and O’Shea lacks height. Think back to GMac and Dawson and Olsson, all very good in the air, defensively and for attacking set pieces; we don’t have that any more.

Getting into the playoffs is probably a step too far for this squad, especially with the injuries we have suffered. Premier League, doesn’t bear thinking about.

Totally agree with everything said on here so far. Not sure if there are many in the squad who are worth keeping?

Not sure I expected this to work but clearly it has. Have followed you guys for years and enjoyed the board. Hopefully can join the discussions from hereonin. Lifetime season ticket holder but sick to death of what Lai has done to us. Really feel that without promotion this year (which clearly won't happen now) we'll end up in Administration unfortunately. Just hope the Chinese Govt tell their owners that they have to sell up re English clubs -I can dream can't I- haha.

No chance of promotion as the squad is clearly not good enough and too many bang average players. I do think we will enter administration though unless a big sale of players raises enough cash to satisfy Lai short term! The huge problem is absolute dross tied into contracts ie Grant, Reach etc which will keep draining the overheads!

Spot-on Baggieal. Just seem to lack the guts for a fight against hard working teams. Sometimes think these players don't want to get promotion as they know they won't be able to cut it at a higher level. Just think that their psychology won't allow them to follow CC instructions or even show any heart for the battle when required.

CC has done a brilliant job and has over performed with a mid table championship squad.

Again spot-on Swedish Baggie - just find it hard to understand the home performance compared to the away. Can't blame the fans influence as the away support is the best in the league imo. Prefer to see a fighting team like under Sir Gary who never never gave in. Often 1-0 to the baggies was the chant but the other team were never going to come back at us.

Despite the stick he takes on here it’s no coincidence that form has dipped since Phillips has been out.

His work rate and defensive effort is a big miss when he doesn’t play.

I felt sorry for you lads travelling that distance to be disappointed but until we all accept that this is what happens in football we will always be upset. Even Burnley and Sheffield united have stuttered in recent weeks. If we hadn’t have had Bruce to start with we would have been safely in the play offs at least by now. It is what it is. An unpredictable pastime.
