    Tony Garcia 👌😂

I’ve always been a fan of Ruben but he has surpassed what I thought he was capable of. His technique has never been in doubt but his mentality and willingness to work for the team this season (like all the team it has to be said) has been fantastic, which isn’t always the case with flair players.

Was that the through ball for Vinny? That’s all I can remember from that game.

Also, while we are "talking about players" what about a heads up for Jones who left Fisher for dead to win back possession after the previous attack had broken down.
Yes, I actually didn’t realise that was part of the same phase of play but he showed great desire to win that ball. The last two games we have begun to see the pace he has, which I doubted at first. I loved the way he just pushed the ball down the line once or twice, knowing he had the legs of his defender. Final ball could be worked on though!

Can't remember now, but said if that pass was in the PL they would be raving about it. It was attacking the kop if memory serves me right.

Meant no offence ncfcog. I think we will look back fondly on Rubén’s time with us. He’s such a likeable, genuine guy too.

Ruben was always a class above in terms of ability right from the start, but he was bloody frustrating in his first season. With hindsight, I put most of the blame for that on Ardley. Ruben wasn't fully fit, he had a hard time due to covid isolation, but he never had a real role in the team. He would show what he was capable of for a few minutes then be anonymous for the rest of the game. Burchnall improved that, but Williams took it to the next level. He now has a clear role and performs it brilliantly.

If I was a Championship club willing to pay the 7 figure amount for Langstaff I would also take Ruben which to get both of them for that would be a bargain, they have such onfield chemistry
