Sacked by us when we were 4th. Top of League one now with a great record. I'm not saying he was a manager we should have kept but you can't argue that for a Black guy to be a manager is one thing and to be successful as well is a great example. Just as Big Cyrille did a lot for the Black community so is Big Dave. I'm really proud of the bloke. Long may it continue.

Love the guy to bits Boingy but fourth was not good enough with that squad and performances were poor ( many were ). I was at Leeds when we were hammered because tactically Big Dave was clueless and it should have been 7. That squad then was so much better in terms of quality and great players compared to the mid championship squad and players we have now. How we missed out on automatic promotion with the quality of that squad I will never know.

Carlos in comparison has no money with some very poor players and still nobody who can put it in the net like Gayle did under Big Dave. Carlos therefore doing a fantastic job.

Wednesday should always be around the top with that squad. Big Dave blew the play offs last year and many Wednesday supporters wanted him gone.

Don’t get me wrong - top guy and wish him all the best. Wrong manager for us at the time and a cheap option. Shan was even a cheaper option and awful.

PS - dislike managers who don’t show their authority or play their favourites. Carlos is one manager who does not do this! Even Bruce had favourites like Livermore - Button - Grant and Reach and they are all rubbish!
