That they were recruited and retained for so long is a damning indictment of our recruitment and retention policy over a sustained period of time and indicative of how and where we currently find ourselves.

    Have a wonderful day 😎 .
I will have a wonderful day and mainly because I see the good those players do and don’t just remember mistakes they make. If you could sell negative this forum would be full of millionaires.

I see the good they do too Boingy. That doesn't mean they should have been recruited when they were with the resources we had at our disposal at the time.

It doesn't mean they should have been retained this long either and it certainly doesn't mean looking away in the hope they don't drop a rick.

It's not being negative to acknowledge their shortcomings Boingy. It's acknowledging we should aspire for better with what we have.

That's achieved by effective scouting and recruitment and it's maintained by continually developing and refreshing the squad.

I agree with what you say here but those lads have done good. We can only do better with good ownership. We are going to be selling our best players before we start the season.
