    From what I understand (and therefore could be very wrong) we qualify straight for the group stage due to coming from the Premier League. However, due to our own low/lack of UEFA coefficient we will get put in the lowest pot which could make for a very tasty draw. Will most likely be the group of death

    England has 4 qualifiers for the group stage -confirmed. Draw for groups: 31st August.

    Outrageous achievement. Next season is going to be a slog so with many games but I cannot wait to neglect my partner and child and splash the cash on European away games again! Newcastle United in the Champions League just feels right.

    Partizan Belgrade on pens. We beat them away 1-0 then lost 1-0 at SJP.

    Funny that I remember that, but dont remember that Newcastle went on to reach UEFA cup semifinal that year (defeated by Marseille 0:0 and 2:0 with Drogba brace) - had to look wiki for that
