I guess the trick is to have options on both the left and the right. It feels wrong having a go at Burn, given that he was part of the league's best (almost?) defence but the problem with him is more about what he doesn't do than about what he does and that is obviously his lack of attacking threat.

    Did Barnes play last night?

Nope, not sure if he was even on the bench, mainly juniors. I think Eddie’s keeping his powder dry for Brighton, might be wrong like as we put out a strong team v Chelsea. I stayed up till the death, and watched the whole match. It was an ok game with Isak showing flashes of brilliance at times, Gordon deserves a mention as well, looks a different player from last season. Ended up playing central with Isak down the left, which I think is isaks best position, this is when he pulled out the tricks.

It's great isn't it that the young blood are coming through and not looking out of place among the first team against a top quality (all be it under performing last season) Prem Side.

The one thing that EH wants in his squad is flexibility with his players to switch positions. If we can integrate Miggy into this live in game rotation & With a midfield 3 of Bruno, Tonnali & Lewis Miley playing a similar flexible rotation system we'll literally be playing total football.

    Pure class isn't it!

Would be amazing to add Gravenberch to the squad.

Be warned in advance Gravenberch is my new Szoboszlai. Gonna be obsessing over us signing him even though we won't even get close!

    Gravenberch! haha

In his pre-match EH said that the reason the squad was smaller and that most of the first teamers like Bruno were gonna be playing all 90 mins against Brighton.

EH told the lads who played against Chelsea that they would get a full 90.

Everyone has come back fit and in shape. The lads are now able to play a full 90 mins which at this point in pre-season is awesome.

Gordon was excellent and will a big threat this coming season.

I want to see Targett back at full fitness and playing in tandem with Barnes &/or Gordon to see how it gets on. I like the idea of bringing in the young Chelsea left back with Geordie family, on loan or permanently.

Schar went off injured so I'm a little concerned that we are kind of light at CB. We'll need to add at LB to give more cover at CB or add a CB to allow BDB to cover at LB.

Everyone has different opinions but one guy on another site said we would get battered this season.
All teams have players with different levels of fitness after being back in training for two weeks.

How can anyone judge our season after a draw with another Prem team. The likes of ,Wilson,Bruno,Barnes,Willock, and Longstaff did not even play last night so to say we will get battered is rubbish.

Love that Miggy scored in the game as well.

Miley didn't look out of place as well which is fantastic.

Yes he is. I saw it when he was at Everton. Can’t understand the stick he got before coming and soon after he arrived.

Sadly, I agree on Burn, Andy.
