I’d be surprised if you could defend the use of Chalobah for example.

    The Maja situation infuriates me.

We do this time after time, we buy players who are unfit or who haven’t had a pre season and then take forever to get them fit.

Most in here know I’ve been into running for most of my life and my baseline fitness is usually good even when returning after injury or illness, it takes me about 7 days to get back to my previous level after an enforced break.

Maja should have been keeping himself fit and only need a few sessions to get himself ready for 90 minutes but should have easily been able to do 25 to 30 minutes last night.

Id like to know where Cleary is as well, we have virtually nothing up front, he should be contending.
I completely agree with you about Chalobah, I don't think he and Kipre will start many more games. Overall, I've been impressed with Corberans ruthlessness and I don't think he will stick with players who aren't performing. I think he knows we have an issue in that #10 role behind the striker, that's why he tried Molumby there on Saturday and Wallace last season and I don't think he rates Swift.

As for Cleary, he's thrown Faal and Malcolm in and I guess he thinks he's just not ready or good enough. Cleary hasn't really impressed me when I've seen him, albeit I haven't seen a great deal of him. This is why we have him as a manager, we have to trust his decision making.

I'm sure you're not calling for his head, but as you say if he loses the the next 3/4 then people will be doing that. I just consider that so short sighted.

Not calling for his head as who else would we get? Who would want this toxic job! Sacriemto clearly has talent so don’t get yet again why he was on the bench last night. That said he clearly has been in a fast pace team who pass and move - on Saturday nobody could pass for toffee. When he beat two players with ease he put Wallace through and the end product of Wallace is poor - dithers on the ball and over shoots many crosses.

Went to the Harrogate match last night and the black lad up front did everything Wallace didn’t or couldn’t - beat a man quickly and with speed saw the spot and bang. Terrific goal. Not even because it was league 2 - it was the accuracy of passing and speed of thought!

Last 5/6 away games have started to question why the f uck I am there! Don’t even mind losing but the football is ****e! Blackburn could have had five and even with 15 mins on the clock - we laboured - could not retain the ball and there was no press. Shockingly poor!

Take Leeds on Sunday - you always knew they would score that second. Wave after wave of attacks and fast moving passing.

Disagree. I thought the Blackburn game was pretty even. We lost because of our own defensive mistakes.

I also don't mind seeing Sarmiento on the bench last night, he will be a starter for us but let him get some minutes off the bench first to get his match sharpness up and he'll play, make no mistake about that. To be honest, I'm not bothered about either cup this season, so I'm not fussed that we're out.

I just think people rate our squad as much better than it actually is. Our back four is league 1 level. Even if we had Pep as manager that wouldn't change.

Good points 123 but presume you weren't at the match live. First half until the stupid mistakes we had more possession without any real chances then they were better. Apart from 10/15 minutes including our goal in the second half we looked decent then for the last 25/30 minutes it was all Blackburn. They could have scored five. The best side won even without those stupid mistakes. Even in the last 15 minutes we did not press for the second goal, couldn't retain the ball or muster a decent chance. It was p iss poor!

I totally agree with Leics. that our poor defensive play and inability to keep the ball is not just down to the back four alone but certainly they are still too often at fault. Townsend can be good going forward and has made some great interceptions at times but he is generally poor defensively, Kipre has more poor games than good, Ajayi can alternatively make neat passes to both our own forwards and the opposition, both Palmer and Griffiths have made basic goalkeeping mistakes and whilst, on his day, Bartley can be solid age is catching up with him. Like bomber, I think Pieters should be on the team sheet and Taylor given his chance.

We all know that the bottom line is that too many of our players are simply not good enough for a promotion push but we also know that there is no money to allow Corberan to bring in many (if any) new faces of proven quality. We have to use what are have. Wallace has been quoted as saying that CC has told them not to be afraid of making mistakes and to have a go but this lot seem to have taken it too literally. What they need to do -and surely this is the least that should be expected of them--is to to cut out the stupid (and costly) mistakes!

We have to look after the ball much better and not keep giving it away.
That’s as I see it Leics buddy. ‘Playing it out from the back’ seems Carlos’ plan, but we do not have the necessary individual footballing ability to play that way. There will continue to be errors. The 2 yard square passed ‘goal kick’ causes issues - clearly the players are uncomfortable. It seems that Kipre is now favoured for his ball skills rather than any defensive prudence.

Still in Carlos I trust, just.

We can’t play out from the back and any thought of playing three at the back and playing out from the back is madness.

BUT…….we also don’t have a striker capable of holding the ball up if they play the ball long, we also lack pace in the channels and lack a forward who’s a proper channel runner and capable of holding the ball up.

We are almost forced to play suicide football at the back due to a lack of pace throughput the whole team and lack of a mobile physical presence up front.

Nailed it Mick, next season is the one for me when all the dead wood will be gone, whether this is in the Championship or Lg 1 I’m not that bothered, we have to start the rebuild somewhere hopefully under new owners as well
