When he returns from suspension give him a chance, fans are far too quick to write new signings off ..as we did Mair after the first cup game
I'n not saying recall Brooks because Stone is crap, I'm saying because on Saturday we'll not have a keeper on the bench as Stone will be suspended!!!

What was Slocombe doing for the third? The one where he kicks the post in frustration. His attempt at a save was worryingly cr@p.
He seemed to dive backwards into the net. I only see about 10 games live a season and then highlights the rest but he always underwhelms. The only top save I've seen him do was away at Halifax I think last season when they volleyed it from in the area and he produced a worldie. I hate saying all this as he seems a great person and team member in the dressing room.

I feel growing up, we always had good keepers (Cherry, Ward) so maybe I've been spoilt.

It was never a sending off yesterday , there were two players covering and their striker would have struggled to get a shot off.

I only listened but Stall said it was a definite red.

Fair does CBP, didn't realise handball by a keeper was an automatic red.

It's not though. They are treated the same as outfield players - sent off if the handball denies a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence. It'd be a yellow for stopping a promising attack.

I doubt Notts will appeal it.

It is debatable whether the Sutton played was denied a clear chance at goal (our two were square to him at best) but you can understand the refs thought process.

Yes it was another howler by KC before people thinks this is him being absolved of the blame. Stone was sold short with an awful pass but just stay on the edge of your box but still in the bloody box. Worse case it's 2-0 and 11v11 with 80 minutes left. If Slocombe does that vs Boreham Wood after Bostock's short ball we lose that game and are still in NL.

We bought him in to be a sweeper keeper and the first test he faced, he failed miserably no matter how the ball ended up there.

Had Stone not handled/caught the player, he'd have had an empty net to shoot into. Brindley may have been "covering" had he been 30 yards out but he was on the edge of the box, it was a red
