What chance has a poor boy like me got with my English Language O Level ? It's an uphill battle mon ami, but Accy Grammar imparted something else besides paper qualifications, I might have failed the exams, but something stuck and it's served me well.

    It’s absolute codswallop
Have you ever noticed that people of South-East Asian heritage do not let themselves be victims of "racism"? I fail to understand the Metropolitan Police's attitude in policing black people. Up here in the Northern climes the Bizzies turn a blind eye to Asian grooming gangs but in the capital the police target and victimize blacks.

Nothing makes sense to me anymore army88. I was reading in the "Yorkshire Post" yesterday that the good people of Ossett can't catch a bus to Wakefield after 6pm because of the threat from hooligan behaviour. Bus services stop running, bus terminal closed. Police AWOL.

Here in Bolton it's an absolute waste of time to ring the police, your call goes straight to an answering machine.

One of my nearest neighbours is a Police Inspector in West Didsbury. He says if the Tories cut any more budgets or services he will be unable to provide any sort of response unless it is deemed to be a "Major Incident" and the list of protocols he has to follow to declare that is insane.

I said, "but you have got 20,000 new police officers". He said, "don't talk daft, the wet behind the ears new recruits have just been recruited to replace the 20,000 experienced police officers we lost to budget cuts." Interestingly he asked me just how much did I think it cost to pay-off 20,000 police officers and then train another 20,000 to replace them. I said I really had no idea, he said neither does the Home Office. The sense of his disillusionment was palpable.

I cannot see how a few English footballers getting down on one knee is going to solve institutional racism aimed solely at black people by the Metropolitan Police is going to help can you?

It all happens BT I’m aware of that

I’m unsure that Blacks are targeted above others though - statistically it must warrant stopping black youths or they wouldn’t do it - reality is though just like with politics top to bottom , the all have something to hide - you allude to Asian s being exempt and left alone but they have their fair share I’m sure - and then the dispicable whites who are the opposite of whiter than white.

The problem with the whole scenario is there is always someone behind it with more to lose - the Asian grooming gangs getting away with it for years - ask yourself why and the bigger picture - answer is someone in the local authorities or police or government or law is involved - just like politics corrupt from top to bottom.

We must be the most off the rails country known to mankind - talk the talk in our country but don’t walk the walk

Taking the knee though on sky makes everything better for sky and those with there head in the clouds - reality is as I’ve said before they drive the divide between ethnic groups and believe they are helping, reality is they’re making it worse.

Sky are a major driving force in this. Their match commentators never fail to mention when the knee is being taken that footballers are sending out a strong and continuing message against racism and discrimination. The same strong message these selfsame footballers have been sending out when they go to China Russia or now Saudi Arabia. They are taking the proverbial.

It might make virtue-signalling millionaire footballers feel better about themselves, I doubt it achieves anything positive in the real world.

Me and the missus went out for lunch in Manchester yesterday. A couple of kids caught our eye on Deansgate, they were stood staring at a brand new silver Bentley saloon with all the trimmings. They said it belonged to a United player of whom I had never heard and they were hoping to catch a glimpse. £200k on a car for a player I had never heard of and I'll wager he will bend his knee whilst he's taking the pi$$.

Didn't Chris Eagles park up a white Bentley or something like that at Turf Moor while he was on our books ?

And quite right too, ffs it's Burnley not Barcelona. I was staying with a friend of mine in Kent once, he was a millionaire stockbroker, we were going out and he said he'd take the station car, what on earth is the station car I asked him. He used to commute from Sevenoaks station into London and he used this battered old Ford to get to and from the station, he had more sense than leave his Merc or Beamer on Sevenoaks station car park all day. Chris should have had more sense than rock up at Turf Moor in a Bentley, but he didn't, not the sharpest knife in the box our Chris.

A mate of mine ran across him several times when he was playing for Bolton mon ami, he would concur without a moment's hesitation with you on the standard of Eagle's intellect...
