I like to think that despite media reports gleefully reporting on poor policing, the majority are excellent police officers and a credit to the force.

The headline hungry population loves to lap it up and forms the opinion that its common place when in fact its a very very tiny minority that gives the majority a bad name.

Sith, I could expect minority incidents, but these incidents are getting way too frequent. From *** crimes/ dishonesty/ mysogyny /racism/bullying/ woke pacification---- all at the expense of fighting crime figures and being professional.
They seem more intent on looking woke, and trolling social media for buzz words that trigger cry babies, then going in like the Sweeny, whilst granny has her head stoved in for her hand bag.

    in your area.----

Police forces across England and Wales have been criticised for not recording hundreds of thousands of crimes reported to them each year.

Inspections of force databases have found offences, including violent and ***ual ones, have not been counted towards official figures.

One force, Derbyshire, was found to have not recorded about 30,300 crimes a year, more than a third of the total in its area.

Unfortunately Tricky believes all he reads in the right wing media and dodgy internet sources or rather he believes everything that suits his agenda, the nuance of context and actual facts tends to pass him by, its all black and white to Tricky.

That right wing enough for you?

You keep burying your head in the sand, as this part of society continues to fail and get worse. *** offences/ corruption/ bullying/racism/minority bias all on the up.

But lets just ignore it eh?

Here's one I missed, of what happens when you lower the standards of entry.

TINY, TINY, TINY minority my arse

Quote from an ex copper friend of mine (she)

As an ex copper I am appalled by this….no other word for it
I’ve been called so many things during my service I couldn’t begin to tell you….it’s not right, but it’s part of the job. What some drunken blokes have said they wanted to do to me would burn your ears
This officer is not fit for the job….but she will probably be high ranking in three years
Go weep, but it’s what this country, the press and the politicians have created *♀️

The police have, imo, always attracted more than their fair share of bullies, as have the teaching profession and the armed forces. Whether things are worse now than they were in the second half of the twentieth century, or just better - and less fearfully - reported nowadays is difficult to assess. It’d be nice to share Sith’s optimism and he may well be right about the vast majority...but Tricky does have a point.

Unfortunately what he consistently fails to recognise or address is the common denominator in all this i.e. the last 13 or so years of under investment in public services. I know this to be the case where teaching is concerned and from what, comparatively little, I understand about the police the same is true there. Add the current state of the NHS into the mix and you have your, probably unpalatable, answer TTR...13+ plus years of incompetent Tory misrule has been disastrous for our essential public services.

I wouldn't undermine that analogy of undercutting funds.
But my gripe with the police is standards and priorities.

The bar has been lowered so much, that all sorts now infiltrate their ranks.
Their priorities are so messed up, it;s beyond a joke. From burglaries just being logged and not attended. To playing political games with woke agendas.

The Met is the pinacle of corruption and warped ideals. *** cases/fraudsters/racists/violent bullies etc.
    That isn't funds, it's recruitment,ethics and training.

I've told you before, just watch a youtube video of a member of the public videoing from a public place and watch their reaction. It's a lawful activity, which they do themselves, yet their interpretation of who can do it and who can't results in false arrest/ and hands on. Then a compensation pay out, time and again.

I defy anyone, who tells me that standards haven't changed in the last 20-30 years, never mind just the Tory rule.

There was a time, when your car radio got nicked and the coppers would come out, look and try to arrest someone. Now? You're lucky if they take a rape seriously and that's if they haven't done it.

Something is seriously wrong in there and more an more forces are getting pulled up for it.
