Have to feel for Cedwyn. Not done anything wrong and got loads to offer. Morias too. I'm wondering whether both will last the week or whether there's temp/permanent moves in the works as they'd both likely get first team action elsewhere and could free up some funds.
Free up funds to do what? Sign forwards to replace them on the bench? If they are happy at the club why would we want to replace Morias and Scott? We are 5 games in to a 50 plus games season. There will be plenty of opportunities for squad players to get game time, something we all know LW will offer.

Well, he was asked two direct questions about him and LW, being such a honest and open guy, answered in full.

Bottom line for me is when he said 'At his best, he's a special player'. I wish more fans would focus on this rather than minutiae like 1 back heel that didn't come off. When you think of AB's positive attributes it's a bit mind-blowing to think of what his top level might have been.

You're right about him dedicating himself to make the most of his talent, he's only got 4 or 5 years before all that starts on the downward curve. But he did do that last year - and had his best ever season in terms of appearances, impact and achievement. And when Notts needed a hero to dig ourselves out of our deepest hole (0-2 down to a monster cup-side like B'Wood), he was the player to step up and save us.

I wouldn't begrudge him a great off-season after that, and maybe I wish LW would keep the odd thing in-house cos fans can latch onto stuff, and not in proportion. Ultimately though, it's about a player realising his full potential and if that helps that's all that matters.

I wouldnt be surprised if LW was actually protecting Baldwin by saying he picked up an injury in pre-season instead of him just coming back out of shape and not ready. A bit like he tried to protect Cameron from his error against Forest by saying he shouldn’t have been talking to him at that point.

You wouldn’t begrudge Baldwin a great off season? What does that mean? Even if it means him coming back injured and out of shape? LW doesn’t roll like that thankfully.

I was saying to a mate at the Doncaster match that Notts recruitment really seems to focus not only on footballing ability but also bringing in the right kind of people.

Look at players like Macca - he's so enthusiastic and humble, despite his achievements. Bostock just seems like an excellent human being all round. Jones too, and then LW obviously.

We don't seem to have any problem characters or big egos in the dressing room, and I think that's by design. The club seems to prioritise integrity, decency, and hard work at all levels, from the owners down through the coaching staff and players.

Great interview from Brinds. He was a standout performer against Doncaster.

... Baldwin would do well to look at Chickson and his application to self improvement over the last two years. A change of mind-set needed perhaps ...

Yeah, Chicksen's another one. Great attitude and a credit to himself and the club. Palmer too. So many!

I think you would have to be very unobservant to not notice that AB has quirks to his professionality as a footballer, so I don't think LW is wrong to mention in interviews, where he needs to improve to be the talent he obviously is. I imagine LW keeps a fair amount of stuff in house, that it is best us fans do not hear. Even with our bunch of supreme professionals lol.

    No, I wouldn't...
when you achieved something as cathartic as getting Notts County back in the EFL, from a play-off minefield, and been the player to make probably the most amazing contribution to that.

AB dragged us back from the brink against Boreham Wood, that 97th minute equaliser must be one the biggest and amazing goals in the club's long history. And looking at his career so far, it's certainly the peak of what he's done, and he may never top it. IMO, he put an enormous amount of credit in the bank for those heroics and deserves respect. I don't want to be so spoilt and ungrateful not to acknowledge that. Added to that, he's an unbelievably talented player for the level.

Of course, LW will 'roll' the way he does and we all admire that. But you can't help wondering at those fans that focus on the very minor peccadilloes rather than the bigger picture of the player he is and what he achieved for our club last season.
