Before the season started, my head said top 5 and my heart said top 3. I’ve now given my head a wobble and it’s in agreement.
It was mainly down to what Stockport did last season and I truly believed we had a better squad and manager.

I agree with this, but l am sure Luke is as ambitious as the next manager and has a desire to manage at an higher level. I would love that to be with us, but even the great man left us for Sheffield United. Basically, it's out of our hands, so let's enjoy the ride as long as we can 👍

Can't blame anybody for not getting carried away. As good an 8 game start as could have realistically been imagined.

If anybody is feeling a bit dizzy with a need to feel the ground underneath their feet once more, the fact that we've only taken 1 point against sides currently top 11 should do it, but that's only because we've only played 1 side in the top 11 and that was MKD away.

Only Swindon and Mansfield are looking likely to finish above us at this stage.
Gillingham have started very well on the back of a crazily good 2nd half to last season, but all of their wins so far have been 1-0 and they got stuffed 3-0 at home by Colchester.
Swindon have bagged 5 or more goals in 3 separate league games already, they look hot and have a game in hand. We know all about Mansfield. Stockport might be having a repeat of last season and soon muscle their way into the party.

I guess the period we'd be most in danger of losing him (assuming we're still in the mix) is around December time, before the transfer window open and closes. If we managed to get to February in or around top 3 with LW still in charge, then we can probably feel a lot more confident he will stick around and very possibly take us up to tier 3.

The role supporters are playing in this revival shouldn't be underestimated either. It's very clear now that previous owners shifting the blame onto the Nottingham public for not turning up got it very very wrong. Granted there may not be enough to sustain the club in tier 2, but there's more than enough to avoid slopping out in tiers 4 and 5 if you're not actively driving them away in making arrogant idiotic decisions.

If we are not " in the mix" December time something may have gone wrong, if LW is here in December we WILL be in the mix, sure of it.

We as a club, in this moment in time, are in the best place that is possible in the football world, I don't want the Premiership greed & chaos, I'm going to enjoy the ride we are on for, at least, the next few years, we are in the best hands since Pavis.
Yeah ok but you would not refuse it either - a chance to see Notts play at the highest level again

Notts losing to Fword on a controversial VAR decision would finish me off.

Certainly appears currently that they are the best owners since Pavis - but they have a lot to do to be as good as Pavis, top 2 tiers for 5 years and reach the top flight.
And i also believe Pavis Notts County would run circles round our Current team

Even cherry said things along similar lines in 2011 when notts played man city in Fa Cup. Then Notts were in L1 and Cherry said the Notts team he played in -he felt were better than them

I am in all honesty not so sure that i would. There is only one deciding factor in the Premiere League and that is money, along with the "we have the most expensive player in the world syndrome". Its purely dog eat dog with no consience whatsoever,i would not want to be part of that, as i feel now that is, even as a spectator.

In honesty LW would be a fool to leave us for a Championship team .Here, i would imagine he has a free reign, no fear of the bullet, along with no undue pressure, he seems happy with life, the City, the club would he swap that?. Take our old adversary Eddie Howe, if Newcastle hadnt got a result yesterday he would have been in line for the chop....... even with that money behind him. Anyone that wants to be in that caldron is quite welcome to it but the poor health will follow along with stress levels that must be unbearable, more than 2 poor results and you are on the kiss the badge merry-go-round.
Of course this is all just a personal view that i have, but i once more look forward to hearing everthing NCFC is doing..... in League Division 2, under LW.
