Big plus tonight was a much improved defensive display. Playing a left and right back in their best positions helped no end. Koleosho was a real handful and at least we got one point though it should have been all three.

Side better balanced with Taylor at left back and Roberts on the right.
JBG as usual disappeared and should not be starting
Attacking wise no problems - defensively still some worries but am convinced we can be better than 3 other teams.
    A young squad still learning.

Just what I wanted to see, we were as good as a team in the top half, we'll be fine.

I would like to ask Vinni though, why on earth have you not been playing Charlie Taylor ? Absolutely rock solid again tonight, just keep playing him from now on please.

that's the first game i've seen in its entirety. I thought we gave the ball away far too often, it was sloppy passing when not under pressure but when we attacked the passing was red hot. it was the old Curate's egg. Foster was great at the start then he disappeared until he scored the winning goal which was wrongly ruled out, which no doubt led to his annoyance and his reaction which got him sent off.. two red cards in 4 games and virtually non under Dyche, what is going on? Koleosho is a revelation, JBG won't be playing on the left again, as army has said he was conspicuous by his absence. A better defensive performance, brownhill and Taylor welcome back. We still lack polish, forest were poor but we deserved the result, only just. Var robbed us, when will a referee have the balls to contradict the call to the the screen and say my original decision was right.

That aside, Fosters again excellent, unlucky cos he's being fouled. Koleosho superb and Zeki gonna be lethal. I'd have Benny those last mins to try for his speciality

A combination of a poor quality referee, Rob Jones, and an even worse VAR operator Darren England conspired to rob us of our first victory in the EPL.

The goal scored by Lyle Foster was never a hand ball and there was no need for VAR to intervene, there was no obvious error made by the referee. I doubt is VAR would have intervened had it been Manure or Liverpool.

As for Fosters red card he definately elbowed Yates so no problem with that descision, howver since VAR showed that Yates was holding Fosters shirt imedately prior to the elbow the fact that a penalty was not awarded was a clear error made by the referee, so VAR should have highlighted that the Jones.

I think Howard Webb as a massive task if he is to rid the game of incompetance or corruption shown by some of our referees.

The EPL making it "clear & obvious" once again that Burnley Football Club should not and will not be participating in their poxy, corrupt league.

Slightly digressing, did anyone see the Craig Pawson hand ball penalty award against Brentford ? How any experienced referee could give a penalty for that is way beyond me, in this case he was saved by VAR who told him to get to the screen and change his decision, which he did, but it doesn't alter the fact that his original decision was appalling, incomprehensible. People like Pawson are a danger to the game, they're ruining it, he shouldn't be allowed within 10 miles of a referee's whistle ever again, but he'll be let out again at weekend, to ruin another game.

I watched it Sinkov it’s ludicrous the whole thing every week contentious decisions that really are just human opinion - so in fact just putting the letters in front of referee VAR means we have moved forward zilch because at the end of the day it’s an opinion only.

I couldn’t believe my ears last night when the commentator who was listening to VAR said he heard them say deliberate hand ball, and to make it worse the ref/ tool on field looked and agreed with him when actually no one else did.

And whilst i can’t stand up for Fosters reaction surely when VAR looked they should say he’s being held and that’s a penalty but his reaction warrants a red - nevertheless a spot kick required.

The pundits and the like seem to revel in it suppose to them it’s good Tv - controversy again with VAR should Burnley have been awarded a goal the headlines are rife.

It’s embarrassing to me that they all jump on board like it’s some throw away talking point and doesn’t matter- if we go down at the end of the season by a point or two that could have been avoided where does that leave the club / game.

The point is / was that VAR would negate these fickle decisions for a fair result in all the games - how will they justify it this time , will the VAR operative be told he’s banned for a game - will the referee be questioned or will it be more lip service to the masses and on to ruining more games at the weekend.

Just scrap the intervention as it’s an OPINION a human one at that so may as-well just let the ref make those rightly or wrongly, as a throw away to me VAR is like me you BT Alf all sat at the pub agreeing / dis agreeing- we did that before the so called technology without the eyes in the sky and made our minds up in a instant- now they have 20 angles 40’camera s and 3 people in real time and slow motion and they are worse than us 4 at the boozer.

I’m pretty disillusioned with it at the minute it’s CRIMINAL in my eyes what they’re doing.
