Thanks for the Burnley view, Alf. I’m slightly surprised that the majority of your fans are expecting a heavy defeat. I think it will be relatively tight. I do think, however, that we should have enough in the tank to win the game despite rumours that both of our recognised strikers are out. If true we could see a return of Joelinton to the number 9 role, or perhaps Gordon may play there given he did so well for England U21s in the summer. It’s certainly a game we should be confident of winning but not overconfident. It has the look of a banana skin game, the type which we drew too many times last season.

I think it’s time we bought a young up and coming striker for times like this. Not sure if any of the under 21 s could step up.
