[QUOTE=ABERFELDYDEE;40362207]Holding him to account, not bullying at all. He was very vociferous on another forum in opposition to the proposed plans, stating at one point that he would put in a formal objection if the plans were submitted as presented at the Landmark presentation stating traffic issues as the reason. He either was at the time, or made soon after, a director of Dee4Life. This is clearly what is being referred to in in the FPS response as stated by Dee4Life in their recent communication. At no point does that communication say that the observation was made either in writing to the club or even vocally at the time of the presentation - it's a generic comment. This is a man who has been a thorn in the flesh of FPS since the day they took over and has been the same with previous owners. Islay is the one that needs held to account for his actions, not me.
Read the item again and try to recall all the objections Islay made over on TDB, and n here, at the time of the proposal before he was, sadly and possibly wrongly, banned from it.
'Much of the anger appeared to be linked to the fact that a Dee4Life director had, while acting in a personal capacity, responded to the Camperdown statutory consultation by noting that they opposed the plan as it was presented at that time'.
[QUOTE=Deeranged;40362393]Deeranged you have dealt with Linda
Do you not think Islay is a convenient excuse for him.
He has an appalling record of dealing with anyone or any organisation that asks questions.
I had a look on Pravda there's still some that think the yanks owe us no explanation and we shud just blindly follow along.
Dangerous times
[QUOTE=Returnofrros;40362397]Yes, Islay is a convenient excuse which is why it was such a huge mistake by Dee4Life ever to let him get formally involved (for the record I did warn them). Prior to Islay DF was the convenient excuse firstly citing his connection to a group strongly opposed to their buy out then citing a breach of confidentiality by him that cost the club money.
JN is undoubtedly a control freak with eyes very much set on a long term goal and anyone who suggests anything that deviates from that goal or who asks an awkward question regarding that goal is immediately ostracized. Once you're out there's no way back.
Over on TDB a current Dee4Life board member has stated that we all want the club and FPS to succeed, I've challenged on how we can want FPS to succeed when they won't tell us what their strategic plan is. Still waiting for the answer to that.
Dangerous times? Don't know about dangerous but definitely worrying because in over a decade we've made little progress as a football club under FPS so confidence that anything will happen over the next ten is pretty low. I hope some of the more obvious things like a seemingly improved youth set up might make us a better football club but then I've been hoping that for a good number of years.
[QUOTE=Deeranged;40362418]For the record I only volunteered to become a Co-opted Dee4life director because Ian Baird resigned as the secretary and a director of Dee4life and it was to keep the number of Dee4life directors at the minimum number permitted.
I had been an Dee4life official volunteer dealing with banking and fundraising since January 2018 and dealing with things such as getting the Dee4life bank charges reduced from £25 per month to a more realistic amount.
My life would have been a lot easier if Ian Baird was still a Dee4life director as most Dundee supporters would still not know who I am.
