So let’s follow many other sites and the Leeds forum. Just keep it to football!

Nobody wants to hear about what they think or how fantastic they have done in their life. This gets personal just like politics, Covid, education, universities etc.

Let’s just keep it a football forum as Blood said. You could create a sub section as some sites do so those who want to debate politics or how fantastic they are can bicker at each other to their heart contents.,k

That’s my view and yes I am guilty and due to deteriorating ill health would rather this revert back to a football forum. This way more would stay and more would contribute footballing matters. Look at the Leeds site and the banter is all football related.
I don’t often Agee with Al bit in this instance I support 100% what he has posted. Make another section for anything not football related so that it is easy to ignore.

The Villa forum had done as as the Wolves forum.

    Well said Al and Blood.

Anyway there’s a game tonight. Fingers crossed.

I do find it very difficult not to respond when someone states I have posted something I most definitely have not. If that is the last post that's what people remember and they are left with the thought I have said that. It's very irritating

You as the new Mod. That brought a smile to my face. Non intervening with a light touch. Don't see you as a light touch sort of guy.

    Should always be fun
I’ve openly held my hands up in my post and admitted I’ve been a part of the problem in the past 923, less so in recent times I believe?

A few on here are too keen to keep pointing out what others have said and keep returning to “old chestnuts” which become difficult to prove or disprove.

The simplest way to handle that sort of stuff is to being an end to that sort of playground behaviour.

If people want to point out that someone made a previous point then do a “cut and paste” and prove it, if you can’t offer the evidence then don’t post as it’s likely your post will be deleted.

I don’t always agree with 123 but I enjoy his posts, On Balance hasn’t been a favourite but I’ll admit he/she/it/them is fair and balanced!

As for rules, the swearing doesn’t bother me, we are grown ups, if people don’t like it the can f u c k off!

And both of those forums are inhabited by tumbleweed now.

If you don’t like a topic just ignore it OB, it doesn’t need a separate section.

Thanks On Balance. No meant to have been personal but with health issues it’s now tiresome! I am sure on football related issues we will agree as it appears so on many things.

Not saying to get rid of the non football related stuff but really on a football site - who wants to hear someone’s life story or negative views on something that someone else holds dearly, Best of both worlds and those on non related football matters in their own section can bicker all night!

    Very successful on other sites!

Nearly all football related banter on the Leeds site. I know for a fact more would come on the site if it was mostly football!

Not good to say if someone does not like it they can f uck off! Really going to attract new posters or females or young kids Mick

You’ve picked one site to quote and they don’t have a separate section.

Two of the busiest sites are Barnsley and Burnley and both of them have multiple topics on view.

Women have always been a minute % of these types of sites, I only know of two women on here in 15 years I’ve been around.

I only know of one younger ****age lad in all of those years.

These platforms are the preserve of middle aged and older supporters in my opinion, possibly because we like to talk about football from the 60’s onwards.

Young people have other ways of chatting sport, platforms many of us don’t understand.

This is the only football forum I’ve ever used and that’s because of its simplicity.

You could help greatly by not posting so many off topics! 😏🤣🤣

Have to agree. Where have all the posters gone from this site due to the inane nonsense spouted about peoples own personal situations re wealth etc. imagine if you are in a situation most of us would hate, health, financial, loss and you have to read other who are not in that situation. The list goes on, it is a football forum, not a political or anything else forum.

It is first and foremost a football site. We, as Baggies, should be able to Agee/disagree about Albion footie matters. Who gives a 4x about anything else (
unless it is health of another poster which is understandable) that we should fall out about.

It is simple make it a football related forum with a separate (what ever) for the other stuff.

Mick, you are now a Mod. Please use that in a positive way and help this forum survive where others fail.
