He’s not a scapegoat it was amateur defending he got caught in no man’s land and let the forward run past him. Haven’t a clue what was in Popes head either.

To me Pope was more at fault, his positioning sense is terrible at times he's been guilty of it quite a few times in the past.

Think Bruno needs to be subbed unfortunately, else we will end up with 10 men at some point.

As for the goal, I know it is fashionable to blame the likes of Lascelles for it but I don't think that is fair. Not going to say anyone is to "blame", but the way it could have been stopped is for Trippier to have stayed with the runner and not go for the press on the ball, handing off the runner to the stationary, facing the wrong way Lascelles. With the communication delay, time to turn and then accelerate, Lascelles was never gonna catch up. That was the moment it went from recoverable to unrecoverable as long as West Ham didn't screw it up which they didn't

Lots of the ball but we've done nothing with it.
West Ham play this 'let the opposition have the ball then break quickly when they get the chance ' game very well. It's how they beat Brighton.

We need to be a lot more creative and, basically, better in the final third if we're going to get anything out of this game.

Tight game, other than their goal I think we have had the best 2 chances. We've also had the majority of possession (for what that is worth) but we struggle to create much when teams sit deep and defend in numbers

We’re flat (perhaps not surprisingly). Another gear required in the second half.
