The current board have badly let down their members by not keeping them fully informed about what has been happening trying to get their primary representative elected on to the Dundee Football Club Limited board of directors under the Club’s Articles of Association.
The Dee4life members were only informed in the newsletter dated 29th September 2023 that Kenny Valentine had been nominated as the Dee4life board of directors Primary representative despite it having been agreed by the Dee4life board of directors at the end of November 2022.
I agree that Dee4life have to soldier on.
If they disband John Nelms will have won as he has no time for Dee4life members despite them being the second largest shareholding group after FPS and they hold also the A shares.
I think the speaking in private and not publishing their conversations was the whole point of their approach. It didn't work and I don't think it will be repeated. Think Dee4life should just soldier on and do what is in their opinion appropriate.

There was a vote in January 2023 where a majority of directors voted in favour of ‘drip feeding’ information to their members about what had been happening.
In the event the Dee4life members were told nothing until the newsletter on 29th September 2023.
They did not even know who was nominated as the Dee4life primary representative to be elected on to the Dundee Football Club Limited board of directors until his name was stated in the September 2023 newsletter despite having several opportunities to do so in previous newsletters which were basically a waste of time.

It is up to the Dee4life members who take the trouble to attend the AGM on 11th November 2023 to decide what to do.
However going into abeyance is not a good idea as expenses such as keeping the new website would have to be paid which would result in heur bank account balance falling at a time when the Dee4life board of directors should be setting up a ‘rainy day’ fund.

I trust that you will be raising this subject if you attend the Dee4life AGM on 11th November 2023.

I would be amazed if a rainy day fund has not been discussed by the Dee4life board in the past.

There has been nothing on the agenda about setting up a rainy day fund since I was invited to attend my first Dee4life board of directors meeting as a non voting guest in May 2018.
