The tie at Oakwell was moved from Saturday, November 4 to Friday, November 3 due to local policing concerns over other matches in the area on the Saturday and Guy Fawkes Night.
The decision to move the fixture has been widely criticised by both Horsham and Barnsley supporters, Hornets committee vice-chairman Mark Barrett, and Horsham manager Dominic Di Paola.

Mr Quin said: “I join so many locally in wishing the Horsham team well. It is very disappointing that the decision was taken to move this match to a Friday evening. Travelling from Suss ex to Barnsley on a working and school day clearly poses logistical challenges for players as well as supporters.

“While sadly I do not expect the timing to change, I didn’t want the rescheduling to pass without comment. I have written to the local police chief constable and the FA directly to share the club and community’s frustration.
“The club does a great job in engaging with the local community - in particular schools - and it's a great pity that because of scheduling fewer supporters will be able to attend what will be an exciting match."
The club once again aren't coming out of this too well .

Even our Supporters Trust are pyssed off with them , that really is something .

Does anyone have any idea who’s in charge down there.

It once again proves how the club look at football supporters in general as expendable. The West Stand debacle, the friendly cancellations at the 11th hour and now this. I make no wonder Dane Murphy jumped ship. Khaled was the ideal candidate and replacement to front the football club. He strikes me as a particularly icy and remorseless man. I don't like his demeanour at all and how he talks.

This is not how Barnsley fc do things. Why the feck doesn't it register on their business orientated brains? They'll just never ever get it will they.

I'm worried about what this will mean to us if we lose, with all the ridicule that will come with it etc (a-la Altringham!).
But its getting now where I'm sick of hearing about it, and I just want it out of the way.
IF Horsham beat us, then good luck to them.

It was the FA that made the final decision on the date, as is within their power, but at no stage in the decision making process is there any reference to any representations being made to the FA by Barnsley FC.

No comment has been made to fans of the Barnsley FC view on this matter.

No comment about anything has been made in recent weeks apart from the Commercial Dept trying to sell tickets, lunches etc

Where is Khaled El Ahmad ?

The EFL Investigation is aiming to find out who exactly has been in control at Oakwell and if any porkies have been told or a lack of clarity was present.
