We were really disappointed. Turns out that St David’s Hall( voted recently as one of the best 10 music venues in Europe) is now closed for 18 months due to a concrete problem when the building was constructed 40 years ago, and it will take that long to fix it. Looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Sorry to read this news about St David's Hall. I played there in the 1980s with the Central Band of the Royal Air Force along with the Morriston Orpheus Choir. We were the first military band to appear there and it was a night to remember with a decent programme of music and an enthusiastic audience. Lovely hall to play in and I hope that they manage to sort out the problems and that you also get to see Beverley Knight, wherever she is performing.

I would have thought that on a thread about Beverley Knight and the Bridgewater Hall, Beverley Knight and the Bridgewater Hall takes precedence over everything else. If you want to discuss ethnic cleansing in Gaza, feel free to start a thread about it instead of infecting other people's threads with your obsessions. Show a bit of respect for other posters please, it's only polite.

Seeing that I started the thread and I said Bev made me feel a whole lot better after watching her perform with the IDF bombing of schools, ambulances, hospitals and anything that moves weighing heavily on my my social conscience it was not unreasonable to respond to Balan's post.

Because the subject of Gaza and the mass murder of 10,000 civilians in less than a month seems unconscionable to many, not talking about it will not make the IDF stop levelling Gaza and slaughter all who live within it. Jewish hostages included.

You did indeed start the thread mon ami, and Balan did rather provoke a response, so I'll let you off on this one. Not guilty, case dismissed.

I went to watch the Drifters at the Bridgewater Hall in September with Mrs Outwood. Superb venue and we’d certainly go again.
