Southgate is their face and it isn't a pretty one. They up high are the problem.

In the North East, we get the shitty end of the stick from the South by almost any metric you care to mention, not least in terms of funding. The Gov't couldn't give a fuck about the North East and, for me at least, that has provoked an equal reaction of 'well, fuck you, too'.

When I think of the England team, the first thing that comes to mind is the absolute clownshoes who see supporting England as a patriotic duty and see thmselves as going to war for their country...the same ones who 'defended' the Cenotaph on Satturday.

Yes, I know it's not all England fans and yes, I know we have some absolute whoppers following us (every team does, tbf) but that's how I feel. The older I get, the more disconnected I feel from the country I was born in.
I thought we were talking about the England football team which is surely distinct from anyone’s feelings on patriotism?
England, as a country, has gone rapidly downhill over the last 30 years or so whether it’s due to a scuffle at the Cenotaph or knife wielding terrorists randomly murdering people on the streets of London. (These activities are linked of course - extremism always breeds extremism from the opposite direction). The government over these 3 decades or so have been nothing short of negligent in dealing with it.
At least with Brexit approved, the UK has given itself some hope of avoiding the incoming catastrophe heading for many countries on the continent.

We were, TT, true enough. For me, though, I can't separate the two.

Unfortunately despite what they say, this fraud of a government has the same policy as Labour, open borders. The UK border force are actually people smugglers, you couldn't make it up man.

It’s been very poorly managed. It’s just a matter of how long it’ll take for more people to wake up to what’s coming. When that time comes, at least we won’t have our hands tied to do something about it like France, Belgium, etc.

All these people who say we should just let all the boat people in need to have a look at the demonstrations in London and other cities recently, supporting Palestine, these are the same people who come over on the boats. We let them in and that’s how they repay us! Why can’t the coast guard and Royal Navy just turn them back, once they realise they won’t be allowed in they might go somewhere else, we are a small island and we’re FULL!

Been viewing this board for years. Always enjoy reading posts. It’s a daily routine to check in a couple of times. But this post… wow… really compelled me to sign up.

So all 800k people at the London solidarity march arrived on small boats? Where’s your evidence for this? Matter of fact, I was at the march and far as I’m aware, unless you know better (?), I was born here mate. I just don’t like seeing genocide being committed with our governments backing.

I do not support killing of innocents and would suggest they get the F away from the danger zone if HAMAS will let them.

What did you expect Isreal to do after October 7th. Nothing?

Free Palestine, yes but from HAMAS/ISIS. There is a difference, they don't care about their own people who they hide behind. Maybe the distinction should be made in the protests. They already advocate killing all Jews in their 5000 year old homeland if you want to mention genocide. HAMAS will not stop and I will be glad when they are gone. And they will go.

Maybe they should have invested in infrastructure instead of tunnels and missiles my friend.

A lot of sweeping statements there buddy. Get away from danger? 2+ million people in an area less than the size of East London. Escape to where? They bomb indiscriminately.

Were you at the march? I saw plenty of placards denouncing the killing of all civilians. Releasing the hostages. Btw there are plenty of them in the Israeli “system”. Who are these “they” advocating killing? We have actual genocide and you’re pontificating.

Do you think history started on the 7th of October? What about the West Bank. Don’t see any Hamas there or you know otherwise?

Homeland of 5000 years? You able to map your ancestry back that far? Be careful. Someone might want you out of their homeland.

Find it somewhat ironic that we have such strong views about the boats and people coming over here, but quite happily sit and watch an occupation going back 50+ years.

    Sweeping but true....buddy.

Move south because the IDF is coming from the north. They may seem to bomb indiscriminately but they are bombing using satellite images of positions (schools, hospitals and scout centres) where 10s of thousands of HAMAS missiles have been launched indiscriminntely towards Isreali civilian populations for months before 7/10 and if it wasn't for the Iron Dome we would be looking at thousands more Isreali dead.

At the march I saw footage of chants "from the river to the sea" which is clearly anti Isreal, I saw posters of hostages being ripped down.

History didn't start on October 7th or 70 years before that. It started 5000 years or more ago. Archeology, history and the bible proves its a Jewish land and thats good enough for me. The temple mount is not Muslim. The West Bank is called Judea and Samaria by the way. Hadrian renamed Isreal Palestine because he hated the Jews and the Palestinians are descended from the Philistines who were known as the sea people and the original invaders.

And for the record, I did not mention the cnts in boats coming over once. Read my post again balllbag.
