    Towner goal. Fantastic.
Good shout. Otherwise FA Cup 4th round replay (yes, we used to get through to the 4th round!) against the mighty Man Utd (Best, Law, Charlton). 25,000 going on 50,000

Let me think? One or two I remember us beating Charlton 3-0 in the same year as the Barnsley game but it was towards the end of the previous season when we went on to win the League. Game was around Easter, Millmoor was full and we were both challenging for promotion so atmosphere that day was pretty special.

Away from Millmoor so not meeting the OP criteria I was also at Sixfields for the 'perfect 10' game where we won 1-0. Pissing down with rain but atmosphere that day was pretty good.

My NYS record is not so good, P4 W1 D1 L2 F7 A11 plus 1 game postponed (Ipswich last month).

The City game in particular, if I remember correctly we we were 3-0 down, pulled it back to 3-2 , had a few goals disallowed and then Peter Barnes broke away in the last minute and scored for City

The Barnsley game was superb. Stewart Barrowclough was the only winger I have ever seen get the better of Gerry Forest.

100 percent agree with you. The atmosphere was electric.
Great days for both our club's , the atmosphere at Millmoor for the 4-2 game was incredible .

It wasn't a 4-2 game either , could have gone either way at 2-2 , if it had stayed 2-2 it still would have been one of the best games I've ever seen between two very good and well matched teams at that time .

The talent out there that November afternoon from both sides is unlikely to happen again .

I think it's fair to say at that time we didn't really like one another but none the less I think deep down we did respect each others teams .

Towner was superb , put the shytes up me when he was tormenting and teasing Phil Chambers , Ronnie Moore was as dangerous as they come with Stancliffe immense at the back .

The difference and why we probably edged it over you was King Ronnie Glavin who is the best footballer my club have ever had and probably will have .

RUFC Vs Newcastle 1993 FA Cup
Nigel Johnson equaliser the place went mental.
Also have good memories of playing Sheff United in the 80's but I was only a nipper then.

A game that also sticks in my mind as a great atmosphere and a great performance was the 4-1 drumming of Port Vale in the early 90s

Milmoor I'd say the Leeds game with Macintosh goal or Southampton fa cup win and at NYS the Preston semi final playoffs or Sheff Wed league cup game 2013
