Agree and it wouldn”t surprise me if they have waited while now and looked at league table and the weak teams at the bottom and thought if we do it now they will have a chance to still get out of relegation trouble, points deductions are suppose to act as some part of deterrent,in this case it has achieved the square route of nothing…
Swindon town must be loving this, they were once relegated a couple of divisions from the top league for financial irregularities...
That was related to 'brown envelopes' though rather than overspending. O/T with regards the OP but on looking at Wiki to jog my memory I noticed a couple of interesting things about Swindon. When they won the League Cup in 1969 they were prevented from playing in the Fairs Cup the next season because it had been stipulated that only Division 1 teams winning the League Cup would play in the Fairs Cup. Since Danny Williams resigned there (for the first time) in 1969 they have had 53 managers (including caretakers). That's 53 in 54 years! Thank god for the stability at RUFC![]()
....admitted to the charges and now intend to appeal........and any guesses to the outcome?
...shocked to the severity of the result.......stop ferking cheating, or has Everton have said," took a chance".........
Already out of the relegation zone after tonight's win over Newcastle. I guess all the appeal talk might go quiet now unless they start to challenge for a place in the European competitions.
