It seems to me that Alan Pace is the worst thing that has ever happened to Burnley Football Club. Does he not understand that he is destroying a proud community? Kompany is one thing, but we need to lose Pace before we end up in the National League.

Last season was one of the best in my lifetime so he can't be all bad. However if there is any sign of us heading to the national league I'm sure Pace will lose us before we lose him.

Like Baldrick, I hope he has a cunning plan, a VERY cunning plan. Has any other manager survived getting four points from thir**** games? I doubt it, because by then they are long gone

It's a mystery chas, t.e.e.n is automatically redacted. I read somewhere that Everton stayed up after having only 4 points by this stage, the only team to have survived.

Apparently around ten years ago on this forum the words t-e-en agers and peedofiles were banned and that ban still remains in affect.

There are mitigating circumstances Chas, so far we've only played one team outside of the top 10 in the PL at Turf Moor, Crystal Palace, and they're mid-table. All is not yet lost, beat Sheff U on Saturday and things could be looking up.

    AWARD!

Winner of the "Wind up post of the year" and all December to go at yet.

He is enhancing our community not destroying it. On Saturday he placed food bank collection points on Harry Potts Way with "Thanksgiving food banks" on site.

One vehicle had so many cans of food in it the car was pointed upwards.

He's calm, he's financially savvy and he's letting VK manage the players whilst he makes sure the club is sitting firmly on solid financial ground.

Let's see how this season pans out...

That got me thinking, it's certainly not Alan Pace, but who is the worst thing that's happened to us ? Whilst I don't think he had any malcious intent, I think the club would have been better off if John Bond had never been appointed manager, can't think of anyone else.

For no reason whatsoever in the back of my mind when we appointed Martin Buchan the rot well and truly set in. "On 22 June 1985, Buchan was appointed manager of Burnley, who had just been relegated to the Fourth Division for the first time in their history – 25 years after being league champions. Buchan lasted less than four months at Turf Moor, resigning on 10 October 1985."

Without Brian Miller's interventions I think we would have gone out of business forever.
