Hi, Who was the better centre half Bartley or Stan Jones , I wouls say Stan Jones only because he used to give me extra chips in his Chip shop which was next to Sandwell pub. Anyone remember.

Now you've reminded me I do remember his chippy next to the Sandwell.

My other memory of Jones. He played in my first ever game and as an 8 year old I still recall some bloke on the terraces shouting 'Hit it with your handbag Stan' every time he went near the ball. Too young to have an opinion if he was any good. This bloke presumably thought not.
