It might not have occurred to you mon ami but St Margaret was deposed as Tory leader 33 years ago, since then we've had 13 years of Labour and 13 years of the Not The Conservative Party. To blame St Margaret for our current problems is frankly ludicrous, but the words ludicrous and Lefty are by no means unusual in the same sentence.

What I see in Starmer is a politician intent on winning the next election, that he finds something useful in the record of a politician who won three of them is hardly surprising, but neither is the Pavlovian response of Leftoids at the very mention of St Margaret's name. Poor Sir Keir, he has to persuade the great British public that this bunch of infantile, hypocritical, Lefty virtue signallers he presides over are fit to run the country, when they are so clearly are not. Still not to worry, the Tories are making themselves more unelectable by the day, so Leftoids in Downing St, it will be. God help us.
It was your beloved Saint Margaret who put the wheels in motion. Various Tory leaders and Blair and Brown had not got the cojones or any plausible idea how to stop the inertia.

Wheels in motion or inertia ? Which is it mon ami, make your mind up, can't be both, you're like Boris, in favour of having cake and eating it.

I thought Blair and Brown's tendency to do nothing or let Thatcher's madness continue unchanged summed inertia up perfectly to me mon ami.

Are you living in a time warp mon ami ? It's December 2023 in case you hadn't noticed, St Margaret left politics 33 years ago, she's been dead 10 years. It really is time you Lefties got over your infantile obsession with the good lady, it really is pathetic.

Should we also forget about the influence Neville Chamberlain and Winston Churchill had on us too mon ami?

I don't think anyone was blaming Chamberlain or Churchill for the state of the UK in the 1980s. It really is time Leftoids divested themselves of this infantile obsession and grew up. No wonder Starmer despairs of ever making his Party seem fit for government.

Starmer is your Tory in the old sense of the word, he's so far removed from socialism he should rename the Labour Party. What some politicians do changes the course of history mon ami.

Bevan, Churchill, Wilson and Thatcher to name but a few.
