There was one aspect that worried me and it's happened before, Dawson can be lethal at corners, he's scored a few against us in the past, so wtf was Brownhill doing marking him, they almost got a goal from it as Dawson put it right across the face of our goal, but no one was close enough to put it into the net.
Haha they are imagining the same, love your humour mate.
A former Vicar of Burnley's son ran a pub in the Black Country, a group of Clarets once came to the Turf on a coach with a mix of Baggies and Clarets, 1-1 draw, perhaps he is now coming to terms with the game like you![]()
A frustrating result...again. We've looked solid when playing a bit more pragmatically and going long when needed. Then bosh like groundhog day, we play out from the back and crumble under the opposition's high press again.
It all comes down to lack of maturity and experience which runs right through the team, starts with the management and ends with the kids trying to do a mans job. Perfect example is O'Shea who plays that ridiculous pass to Berge.
We need an experienced CH in the January transfer window in the mold of Dawson, someone who will give us a fighting chance, because our present CH including Beyer are not up to the task, they need guidance
We are victims of our own doing I’m afraid and if you study it the fact is that when the ball goes long against a team like wolves you need to be able firstly to compete and win the ball up the field and secondly be strong enough to keep it there - we don’t have the forward to do that unless foster plays and steps up.
We are a work in progress and no one likes seeing like last night - the problem is if you think back a few years we were never in games but occasionally got results because of what we just stated above - wood holds the ball up for example gets us a free kick - Mee gets a header and we win or draw 1-1.
I do have the debate every week and it’s devil you do devil you don’t - if we kick it long from defence we lose possession to generally better more experienced opposition and then we’re under pressure constantly- or if we play like last night a stupid ball that no one wants the press kills us and we concede a crap goal that was avoidable - tbh they did nearly exactly the same except we didn’t punish them , it’s a tough one because their press worked on a poor ball to Berge but ours is beatable hen they get behind the first players they’re at our back 4 although tbh that has / is improving from early games.
Fine margins as Dyche would say on last nights game.
That was the game changer. Should have been a simple like for like, Zaroury or Redmond. switching Larson to the left
to accomodate Gudmundson was strange. I don't know what Kompany, Bellamy and Jackson are doing with the squad in
training, but for 70mins the players look confused, even doing the basics. Berge has a touch like a baby elephant,Jayrod running around
like a fairy and won't tackle, Trafford with the ball at his feet is like a rabbit caught in car headlights and man marking
is non-existant.This confusion is rife amongst the squad, it's the manager thats doing it.
Too much psychology and not enough football.....

The title of this thread is 'Pathetic', there is a barrage of criticism on this msgboard, but as I pointed out in another post, we were playing away from home against a decent PL team, without our best striker and best defender and lost our best winger after 36 minutes. Despite this we shared possession with them, had more shots on goal and had more corners. We gifted them a goal but, apart from a couple of routine saves, Trafford was virtually a spectator.
You would never guess it from the criticism, but we must have been doing something right.........surely ?
