You have to wonder about the lad, can you have a one off that happens four times in quick succession ?

To use a horse racing term, has he gone at the game ? You'd think not, a week ago I'd have said he was one of the top right-backs in the PL and you don't become a bad player overnight, but right now he's making Vitinho seem like John Angus.
Kyle Walker gave a masterclass in how to attack and defend against a very physical Luton yesterday. A word of praise too for the Greek/Aussie who switched Son to terrorise Trippier down the left wing.

The Telegraph says Spurs were using Tripps as a training cone and he needs a rest from football for a week or two. I think the training cone jibe is over the top, but he certainly looks like a short break would do him good

Physical Luton is a slight understatement, BT. They reminded me of Revie’s Leeds side - foul after foul after foul. Grealish only had to look at the ball and he was felled.

I know not every challenge or contact is a foul but they were blatant. How Luton’s player didn’t do serious damage to Foden, I do not know. Both feet off the ground, missed the ball by a mile and came straight down on Foden’s leg/ ankle. I don’t think he was even booked!

The Hatters have one thing going for them we don't, a class act in midfield, on his day still one of the best in the PL, a lad called Ross Barkley.
How long he can keep going who knows, but while he's playing out of his skin, Luton will be a force to be reckoned with.

Kieran has played 79 matches in 70 weeks and has travelled for Newcastle and England games throughout Europe. That is quite a tiring schedule when you add training to the agenda. I have to admit that he did not get much support from anyone in front of him yesterday and, as Charlie Taylor will tell you after Saturday's match, it isn't easy when that is the case.

I played right back for a good few years and I thought Son was unplayable yesterday. Trippier had run out of gas. $hit happens, he gave Son about ONE foot in width to the by-line to go past him and Son did.

Sometimes you just have to hold your hand up and say I got done by a better player.

It would have helped Trippier out if Eddie had doubled up on Son but that does not seem to be his way.

Tripps trips up again twice against Chelsea tonight. That’s thrice tripped now.
