When does acceptable become unacceptable?

During this current hiatus between Managers something else has changed apart from the gap to safety
Hudds, qpr an swfc have all changed their Managers and, after a slow start, they are now picking up a lot of points.

So our relegation rivals could be slowly changing to Stoke, Millwall and Birmingham etc

You could be right but they're probably all better than us.......and Stoke will be changing their manager now.

Many realistic fans are now accepting the fact that many of our players are well below Championship standard. The fragility of the Millers has not been seen since the days of Stubbs. There has been some bad luck but we can't blame that. We deserve to be where we are. It's no surprise to me.

I would say as long as it takes if you want to get an appointment right, when you've been let down by a potential new Manager, who strings you along a whole two weeks then gives back word on the 11th hour.

Not to worry though, our fans can whip up a storm and blame Tony for all of the delay etc in signing a new Manager. Shame they can't divert their displeasure at the clown who strung our club along and made Tony look a fool.

As we still haven't announced who's coming in yet, the natives get more restless and now raise posts like these asking what I think is a pointless exercise.

When things go badly wrong you thought you had professionally sealed, then yes it looks as though you're either (a) unprofessional, (b) don't really care about the fans or what they might think (c) have total disregard for the fans and bugger off on anther holiday and leave it for others to sort. Personally, I don't think Tony Stewart is either one of the three examples.

He has had to now start the process all over again that's taken another week of interviews with other potential Managers. Eventually, he has come to the point where he and the board have got their man so to speak. Can't see nothing wrong with that at all pal. It has been a process that merely takes time because of time wasters and patience is called for.

The new manager (Richardson?) will probably want to bring in his own staff. So the issue for Tony is timing. When will BRFC come in for Wayne Carlisle and co? Tony wants to avoid the need for sackings and paying up of contracts? We'll never know though

Surely the bigger picture is millions by staying in the championship not couple hundred thousand paying people up.

That failure to beat off a lower league club to get Collins, he knew so much about, really disappointed MT.There were other players targeted that we could not persuade to come.When we cannot bring in lower league players to our club it does question what plan we have.

We have picked up some players from 'lower league' clubs before and I would put the Scottish & Irish leagues in that category - that is what should be looking combined with some experienced championship players - if affordable, fit & half-decent.

Recent examples of lower league players coming good for us include Jamie Lindsay, Matt Crookes, Hakeem Odoffin, Will Vaulks, Michael Smith & Georgie Kelly - all of them (in my opinion) add(ed) something to the squad and not expensive - fees paid or wages.

Really, so we are not appointing our new manager because we are hoping that another club will come in and offer some of our employees a job, so if they don't when will we have a manager?

If LR has stated he doesn't want any of the current coaching staff then that seems very strange, he might want WC to step aside but surely the other two coaches can help him settle in and get to know the players until he can add to the coaching team. WC doesn't have to be dismissed, he can be put on gardening leave and allowed to go to Devon and have xmas with his family, and a settlement agreement can be drawn up over that period.

The silence from RUFC and the lack of movement isn't good for anyone
