Glad it’s over. I was worried about injuries, turns out it could be worse. A club fine we really don’t need!

Didn't expect much different result wise tbh and like quite a few others I'm glad it's out of the way now and we can concentrate on the championship and, as Boingy says, grateful we didn't pick up any more injurues.

Of course it would have been brilliant to beat Wolves but it was never likely to happen even with home advantage. That said, I don't think we played badly and even had some nice passages of play. Wolves weren't substantially better than us either on the day but just had that edge in quality.

The real shame was the disruption by fans causing the stoppage which won't reflect well on the club even if it was only a small minority or shown to be caused by Wolves fans getting into the home end. The itv commentary may have over-egged it in comparing it to the violence common to the 70s game, but still totally unacceptable and won't do the club any favours.

I'd be interested to read from those who went today. The ITV commentary banging on about 'not seen this kind of violence since the 70s' seemed way over the top. Where was the pitch invasions, where were the ripped seats, coins and bottles flying in all directions, where were the flares and all them white hosses on the pitch???

ITV commentaries are rubbish, I currently have the Scousers v Norwich game on but with the sound turned off because of the frightful woman doing the in game ‘punditry’, I just will not listen to it. The pundits should be ex players who have played football at the level, or above, of the game being shown.

You could see clearly on the TV Phil. Just watch the footage. One man was dragged from the crowd, head covered in blood.(Released photo) It’s infuriating because our ground is a family ground. I could only imagine us having scenes like that against Wolves. We can’t afford a huge fine.

I was interested to see how we went on against an average Premiership side, to be fair we did very well the players gave everything, however Premiership money showed and they had quality in ***** areas as you would expect, obviously the areas we were not so good were Griffiths, Up front and at left back where Townsend was appalling.
Given funds Corberran could turn us into a decent Premiership side

Awful scenes Phil and not seen police being attacked for a long time. Felt sorry for all those little kids when it kicked off with police drawing out their batons and it going on to the pitch. A few were hurt and many left. Not seen this level of trouble in a ground since the 80’s!

I sit in the West stand and was quite close to the trouble. Once the idiot Wolves fan started celebrating the second goal, a large number of young Albion fans from the Brum road came on the pitch to chant and confront the wolves fan. At first, their presence wasn't too much of an issue as the police were focused on getting the wolves fan(s) out of the west stand. However, once the wolves fan was removed, the police wanted the albion fans to return to their seats. I saw a couple of police lash out with batons, which turned the albion fans against them. The fans eventually were herded back to the Brum stand but it became very confrontational. They should have just returned to their seats but stood there shouting at the police etc. Sadly, I think we will face harsh punishment despite the wolves fan initiating the trouble.
