It doesn’t suit him; he can’t cope with having several defenders around him and needing composure to find on rushing players. The tactic broke down with Diangana and he didn’t change it quick enough. It ultimately cost us with the first goal.

That said, very happy with Corberan and think we have one of the best managers in the league. With a better squad we might be able to play a better brand of football.

He is learning his craft too , but I think we should see what squad looks like end of august. Remember after Bolton defeat in 2001 play offs. We came back better despite losing Lee hughes etc. please de ja but. Soz I’m on the Madri.

The best manager in the world will have faults but Carlos has done a fantastic job with a
P iss poor squad. That said - unless we start with a proper striker next season and get rid of some of the dross then who do you question?

A complete overhaul is needed and this involves playing a better style of football. Don’t mind losing if we give a match a damn good go and it’s entertaining regardless of winning!

To sum it up in few words, Carlos has done a great job this season in polishing turds but, if the money came, would he be as good buffing up diamonds?

I think that we have to accept that, to a degree, the age of a side dictates how they play. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think that we have the oldest average age in the division. I think that this has been obvious in many of our performances as we have looked pedestrian in comparison to many other teams. There have been occasions when we have looked up for it, for example v. Leicester, despite losing. However, I feel that in the first half of the majority of games we have played within ourselves thus saving energy for a second half performance. I could be wrong but this is the impression that I have sensed over the season.

Until we get a decent striker we will go nowhere. Played almost the entire season without one - so amazing we even got to the play-offs. On saying that a few good player acquisitions and we will be competitive next season. Also it’s Burnley, Shef Utd and Luton coming down this year. Let’s face it we were nowhere near ready for the the Prem and would have been an embarrassment. Another season in the Champ and bringing in some good reinforcements and we will be in decent shape. We have a decent manager and a half decent (if aging) squad. And at least Patel is showing more interest than the last owner.
