Think there are much bigger financial issues that the Conservatives should pile in on. Stop asset stripping, show some bottle and stop foreigners buying assets on the cheap and flogging them off.
I don't understand why the Conservatives are so timid when there is a choice to be made between British national interest and London's Stock Exchange.
Not flogging our companies to asset strippers seems such a Conservative act, I don't know why they are so frightened to act.

Seems to me Conservative type of person could understand the Royal Mail is not a solely profit centred business. I think a n It's our Royal Mail campaign linked with their union organisers would be a great way to break with the past posh boy image.

There was an article in the Business section of the Sunday Times newspaper a couple of weeks ago about the Royal Mail being taken over.
It said that the new owner is likely to install boxes in shops where householders have to go to collect their mail.
This will reduce the number of posties as it will be much quicker to deposit mail in individual boxes than delivering it to every house on their route.
Reducing the delivery of second class mail to three times per week is also likely to happen.
Two years ago getting our mail delivered three times per week on Islay would have been bonus as due to a lack of posties our mail was being delivered once a week in a bundle.

My concern is that selling the shares to yet another foreigner is not a sensible thing to do. What assets are being sold, what liabilities might be dumped on tax payers. Smart financial manoeuvres run rings round commonsense, imo. Look at the state of water companies. The profits they make are tiny compared to the cost of of rebuilding or renewing Victorian facilities.
I am fed up of financial chicanery making millions for bosses to the detriment of us all. The unions have to change their approach imo. Hoping that a Labour Government will make things better is very unlikely to work out and I don't think moving over to Farage will be successful either.

Maybe we should emigrate. That was the solution for previous generations. Pick somewhere undeveloped. Be nice if the weather was not too hot and food could grow quickly. There must be somewhere. Maybe get a return boat from those Albanians who have turned up here or sign up for Rwanda?

We should have followed the Italian Government who have arranged for 36,000 illegal immigrants to be processed in Albanian That would stop the ‘gravy train’ lawyers trying to lodge injunctions to prevent illegal immigrants being sent to another country for processing.
