Thread: Bellingham: prepare to be disappointed

And then there’s Mainoo, a player starting to attract similar hype

25 games for Man Utd, many as sub, but he’s the “ go to guy” for Southgate’s laughable plan B

His performances in the last two games have been awful, he needs to be dropped for the next game to make him realise you have to earn the shirt, other choice is play him at a false Number 9 and drop Kane, but Southgate will not do that. He will start the next game with what he started the second half with, unless there is an injury. Southgate, lacks imagination and is just a championship level manger that doesn't know what to do with this group of talented players.

Maybe that's the key " unless there is an injury"

Perhaps it needs them or suspensions to force Mr Safe into fielding a more attacking side.

Whose he going to replace Bellingham with? Two who have for Arnold in midfield haven't made any difference!

Bellingham is playing in a number 10 role in the forwards position. There is an option to drop him deeper into a number 8. When he is in form he can play the Number 6,8,10 or false 9, the issue is you need a coach that knows what he is doing and we do not have one of those. Southgate will not make major changes because he is scared to do so and in my view he would rather fail sticking to what he thinks than be influenced by external opinions. When that fails, which it will, he goes into victim mode and will find excuses in the fans, the media (ex-players) or some other crap. Saying I am responsible is easy when you don't believe it, he says the words but it isn't what he believes deep down. As i said just my opinion of him, I hope he proves us all wrong and wins the tournament, I really do

The hype thing not really Bellinghams fault but the Adidas " Hey Jude" ad at half time was truly embarrassing , If England do go on and win the competition then I suppose it will be considered a master stroke in marketing .

    Yes sort of cringeworthy

But I suppose Bellinham could refuse to be sponsored by Adidas

    Yeah right 😆

In a recent interview before the tournament he was asked about his thoughts on team success in the near future…..with the interviewer clearly insinuating England at the Euros

But JB turned it around and said it’s a phased approach, promotion first, the re- establishment in the next division, followed by challenging the best at the top.
Of course he was talking about his beloved Birmingham City.
    Interviewer a little bemused.

Maybe he could forfeit a fortune with Europe’s biggest clubs, run down his contract and return to St Andrews in L1

Still not lost a game and only conceded 1 goal when the defence was the worry and
mm goes into meltdown. Firing the Blame game.
Yes it's dull. Yes we're all frustrated but if it was Italy we would be saying. They don't loose they know how to win tourneys
