I doubt very much any of it is coming from the club Lancy, the bookies are just trying to skim a bit of money off mug punters who know no better. They will will keep an eye on social media and what journos are saying, they're just feeding off rumours and speculation, often they'll shorten someone up just to balance their books or to entice some more mug money for a new name. When they do know who's getting the job, they'll shorten them up so much they're unbackable or they'll stop taking bets altogether, but in the meantime it's as Mr Shakespeare said, "it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

Who says they are tipping people off with wrong information YOU what do you know - do you know they are not tipping people off - never heard of insider dealing - well I have. Only very recently Ladbrookes called in a bet due to insider dealing and that was only for a £500 payout.

Sinkov would you put lots of money on applicant with no view of who you might think will get the job unless you have been given the nod.

There's no way anyone will get a lot of money on a next manager market, the bookies are very wary of them, if they think someone is 'in the know' and wants a decent bet on, they'll just knock it back, they just want mug money. I would imagine manager's agents might tip the bookies off that their man is in for a certain job, even if he isn't, the bookies will shorten the price up and it does a manager no harm to be in the papers as favourite for a job. But from the club I doubt there'll be anything leaked out to the bookies.

I'm not trying to be a smart arse Lancy, I do know what I'm talking about, before I joined the Fire Service I was a Betting Shop manager.

Wow, sorry to hit a nerve

I didn't realise I was being disrespectful, but it's rubbish to suggest it's the clubs fault that the bookies keep changing their minds

I will take care not to respond to you in future, but it's Burnley wood club every home game if you prefer it face to face, as you suggest, just ask for Pete, I'll buy you a pint🍻

Well YOU did Lancaster , you said
"Where the rumors or whispers are coming from need to be stopped. Clearly there is a mole in the club"
So with so many different rumours of a New Manager , a mole must be giving wrong information is he/she not ?
But I don't see what the benefit would be to the mole.

Yesterday there was an article in a Swedish newspaper about someone coming to burnley as assistant manager

People on messageboards named other managers who they thought had worked with said manager, those named appeared in the betting because punters believed the stories, even though they got it wrong about who had worked with who

Burnley football club... How dare you😂😂😂😂

It gets more ridiculous by the day, RVN still favourite, but it looks like SkyBet have been trawling social media again, they have Bo Henrikson 2nd favourite and Henrik Rydstrom 3rd favourite.

I can't even be arsed to look em up.

I can’t find the relevant thread, but I recall back in May when VK left many commented that the club should take its time and ensure that we get the right manager. In my view, that is what is happening.

Media speculation is not the fault of the club. As sinkov has sanely commented, the bookies play their part in roping in the mugs.

The club has announced that Bellamy and Jackson are «*interim*». That does not necessarily mean for days or weeks only.
