I did want Scotland to win against Hungary but to be honest they deserved to lose. Negative by Steve Clarke and not having an effort until 10 mins from time was shocking. Hungary are not great but they wanted the win from the kick off with their pressing.

Clarke like Southgate - negative p ricks who deserve nothing! Even Albania went for it - in all three games FFS!

Jimmy Greaves started the first three games of the '66 World Cup. It's always been my understanding that he was our first choice centre forward going into the tournament and Hurst only got a sniff because of an injury to Greaves. It was before my time though so I could be mistaken, it's been known to happen 😃.

You are totally correct ‘68. He played in all three group games but was injured in the final game.
