I wasn’t mocking him. My gut is he is a squad filler. He could be a coup and if he turns out half as decent as our other Teesider then we will have another decent signing.

We're making all these signings but I've got to be honest I haven't heard of any of them. Will they be good signings or will they be total flops.

And not just a case of “spent time in Scandinavia”, he played and scored in Europe with Östersund two seasons in a row under Potter and was key in guiding them into the knockout stages, and played for one of the Swedish top 5 at Djurgården. He is a club legend at Östersund and incredibly well respected. This is a much bigger signing than people realise.

I’ve actually seen this guy play a few times. Physically not too imposing but he has really good awareness of the game going on around him, similar to Matty Palmer and his positioning and reading of the game helps him break up play very well.

He has an intuitive sense of where other players are on the pitch and can pick out short and long passes very quickly, especially to wider positions, and neat forward passes that break lines. I’d say he is a forward thinking player.

A mix of Matty Palmer and JOB.

Plenty of winning experience and a good age. Of course I have never heard of him, which doesn't surprise me and means nothing.

30 yr old. Never heard of him, can't be any good can he?
He's played in the Champions league and sounds a decent player

I think it was the Europa League after Ostersund won the Swedish Cup.

Yes, but, you know, if certain folk haven't heard of a player they can't be any good. We don't need trial by Wikipedia, NCMad is sufficient. Still someone has seen him play so that adds a bit of kudos.

Of course on the whole I had not heard of most of our players over the decades until they played for us but I don't play footymanager or scour every team.

Anyway, even though I've not heard of him, nor any of the other recent signings, they all seem a good bunch and if 2/3 work out ok, plus the returning Matty, a fit Scot and an acclamitised Jatta we've got to be somewhere near the dogs *** haven't we?
