Agree with Laxton, fear he will feel justified after we scraped though due to our only shot on target in normal time counting.
Put LW in charge, we would lose but at least it would be a 3-4 scoreline and far more interesting (joke but also true)

Georgia on the other hand are a joy to watch - play with every ounce, attack like lightening and play several levels above where they should be playing.... I too used to love England but not since the Venables era!!!!!

It's a sad state of affairs and is completely true. There is no heart, no soul and no passion in this England set up and it shows. It makes a mockery of the three lions badge.

They have eroded the passion and energy of England fans. In the past people used to have flags and bunting in their windows and cars, three lions would be on the radio and other types of football songs, people would be wearing England shirts around towns during the tournament and pubs would be full. I can't say I've seen much of this and it's because as you say it's all dull and uninspiring and any emotive connection England fans had with their national side has disintegrated over the years.

How it is even possible for our national side to go 90 minutes without a single shot on target against a team ranked 45th in the world is beyond me and say's it all.

Fair play to Southgate- he stuck to what he believed and it worked. The defense was poor for slovakia first goal and pickford should have done better, We were much stronger second half, hit the post, cane missed, and goal disallowed, In the end the goal was nothing more than England deserved -as Southgate said
We will beat the Swiss on saturday - i can see Southgate going all the way

I certainly do- but in the end its a result business - a win is a win and in the end thats all that matters

I certainly hope we do win the euros, what would they say then - total garbage manager - bang average at best - but wins the euros imagine that lol

It is not inconceivable that he can bore his way to winning the Euros. Greece did. I also do think the team will lift their game for the premier teams but I don't think they will for Switzerland. He is a total garbage manager who is managing to make a team with a lot of genuine quality look very poor and move the ball at the pace of a Birchnall. We have a potentially easy run to the final or at least as easy as it could get. Let's see what happens.

We had two shots on target and both went in = 100% accuracy..
