I literally would have no idea how to value Grant. Playing up front on his own under Bruce was a hard watch, and I think he also has the capability to bottle a tackle which doesn't endear him to anyone. As I said on another post, he is still young enough to come good and I would give him another chance out wide - he certainly isn't a central striker. He may have come back from Cardiff with a bit of confidence.

I don't know why Swift gets any stick, I thought he had a decent season last season and he's our best CAM / number 10.

Cannot see anyone coming in for Wallace because he's on such a good contract with us. I think he's a good experienced pro who probably won't start every game next season.

And Townsend I think does his best, but he's been over promoted in his time here. He was bought in as a back up LB, and that's his place at this level and in our squad. This one is down to recruitment, we have to bring in a 1st choice LB this season, its critical for us.

    Swift is a luxury player.

I never see him dictate a match or do anything much at all unless we’re on top.

You’ll find it hard to name matches where he dug us out of a hole.

I’d keep him. Can’t see us getting anyone close to replacing him. I can see the other argument though, age, cashing in while we can. I would be happy to see an academy player if he’s anywhere near the level of fellows. If he isn’t I personally don’t want to see him anywhere near the first team. You have to earn that place. Fellows has.

I think he offers more than any of our attacking players other than maybe Fellows.

He's probably the best finisher and the best set piece taker at the club. He'd be in my starting XI every time.

I don’t think there is any way of selling Grant without it being a loan. In FFP terms, he was £15m over 6 years and if we sold him after 4 years, his value on the books is £5m.

So if we sell him for £2m, then on the books we lose £3m this season for PSR rules.

He’s either here this season or out on loan.

West Brom not budging on the asking price and Hull have other targets. Let’s hope we keep him unless we have another combative midfielder in our sights.

Hope we keep him - great player in my view and better than Mowatt!

Understand the need for some money. A bit like when we sold Hughes to Coventry that enabled us to bring in a couple of players Megson wanted, but Okay is not only an excellent defensive midfielder but he can also drop back into the back four and do an excellent job as centre back. If we sold him for a couple of million I would not want to see him lining up against us. Also from Okay's perspective, would he want to go to bloody Hull of all places. Who in their right mind would want to go there.

Looks like he’s off then according to reports. Will we get a player as good and solid for the poxy fee? I doubt it!

So no Mikey, Kipre and looks like Okay! Mid table at best unless I’m wowed off my feet by incomings!
